I've been in the school food service business for over 15 years. Districts that have never privatize their food service programs before believe it's the best thing since sliced bread. I can and will provide Northville Schools the districts that have terminated their relations with priviate food companies just in the last two years. Those district that terminated their food contracts realized that it wasn't the best thing since sliced bread. Many of those disrict were long term relations too. There are so many hidden charge that the food companies treat districts like an open check book. Their personnel turnover is very sad as well. If a district wants to terminate their contract with a food company they may get sued like Owosso School District did. I'll let Northvville School know about that case as well. Many senior food director leave the food companies for self operated school districts. I'm just one of many.
