No matter what this man did the Officers had NO right telling other jail inmates. They also have a duty to protect...no matter WHAT! This is a complete outrage to me as I work for the Dept. of Corrections.

Wendy, you bleeding heart. Maybe they all should have done what he did to that little girl, and then beat the hell out of him. That would have been much better.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. This is how rapists are and should be treated when convicted. The fractures in his skull and face don't equal the fractures in that girls life

It comes down to professionalism. Before I retired, I treated all who I had professional contact whether crack-head or corporate president in the exact same manner.

Although more reprehensible in my mind, this guy is just another prisoner in the system. We (the people) sentenced this guy to X amount of years behind bars, thats it. If you want harsher penalties for such crimes, as I do, lobby your representatives.

“Definitely maybe.”

Very well put. Why do people always worry more about the rights of the criminals than the rights of their innocent victims? That child is scarred for life. You don't ever get over being sexually violated, especially if it happens when you're a child. I have no sympathy for the scumbag. No punishment for him will ever fix what he did to that little kid. If it were my child he raped, a beating is the least he would get.

Anyone who feels sorry for this pos should take him in and take full responsibility for him. A 2-cent bullet would have taken care of this problem.

I thought that's what is supposed to happen to child rapists in jail that's the incentive for staying out of jail. It's not supposed to be a nice place.

Just my opinion. He gets what he has coming to him. Apparently that 9 year old little girl did not have any protection either.

Earlier there were many posts about the students who sexually assulted another student with a tooth brush. Many seemed to be in support of the boys having been punished enough. It's a very differnt case when it's a girl.
glad to hear it

Couldn't think of a nicer person for it to happen to. Mess with children face the punishment. He deserves more than an ass beating if you ask me. Death is too easy of a punishment for one who hurts a child. Let them beat him some more. You think the child he raped will ever get over it?? No...and when he gets out, because he will he will hurt another innocent child. Maybe all of you that are sticking up for him would like him to move in next door to you? What ever happened to protecting our kids?

The system fails these kids time and time again. We fostered a sib group of four boys who had been prostituted out in the street by their wonderful mother. The courts waited until the oldest was 7 (the youngest was 2) to remove them from the home. Then the mother had a little girl. She was 2 when she was removed and the mother had another little girl. Someone please tell me what the matter is with either eliminating these worthless people from the gene pool or at least having them sterilized???
