Has anyone heard anything about who is going to be the new Chief of Police?

No but I hope he/she has previous Chief experience and can restructure the department. I saw that we just had a national night out, man are we behind the times. How about an experienced Chief with a proven record and not a newbie that will no doubt fail. Lets get a Professional and certainly not one that is going to be retired on the job...

I have heard there are few good applicants. We need someone younger that will be willing to work hard for what the city needs. A working Chief that is the best kind for a small town someone who will be involved in the community and not behind a desk.

They narrowed the field. One guy is from Central I hear. Small town experience, working type Chief. A couple of others have no previous Chief experience. So question is, like I asked before, Experienced or newbie? We don't have to start over to start over.

Are you sure he is from Central Texas? I am aware of one of the applicants and I know the City he would be leaving will be very upset because he has made a lot of good changes so Pilot Point would be lucky to have him.

Don't know if the position has been filled. I do know one of the applicants very well. Lots of experience. Comes with his own K-9 Dog. Vast experience in Texas small-towns (born, raised and worked in them. Super high integrity. Pilot Point would be exceptionally lucky to have him as Chief.

No Chief will last with the corrupt City Council. Its funny how they get elected in, Pilot Point needs better, more educated City Council Members. The Police Department lost all of their good Police Officers because the City refuses to update the Officers with good equipment, newer cars and better pay. They are one of the lowest paid, and the lower you pay them, the less quality of Police you'll get. I guess you get what you pay for.
