Yes it would be good to see someone put in the office with the experience and education to handle the job properly. Voters were given that option on the last ballot and they picked the good ole boy. This is what Bledsoe wanted. You had a choice of Morris or Byrd, both whom have a vested interest in the political arena that exist in this county. The ones that wanted to stand up to the Rep and Dem parties were told they would not be back by the parties. They did not make it past the primary. Bledsoe made a choice. Now we all have to live with it unless someone can prove something illegal on the powers that run this county.

I believe the Sheriff is doing the best that he can. Unfortunately, "we" elected a person who had no idea how to do the job so he has had to make up the rules as he goes. We shouldn't complain if the rules he makes up aren't exactly the law. Being a nice guy (maybe) who knows a lot of people does not make him a good Sheriff. It makes the public who elected him look, well.... un-educated and stupid, just like the man they elected to the office. Stop complaining! Just don't make the same mistake next election.

you must not have anyone you care about out on the road!! what do you have to say about our good mr morris letting drunk drivers go with a warning!!! do you drive?? i know i do and most all of my family who is of age and able does too, and i love my family and friends and myself, and i don't think i would like to get a call in the middle of the night saying i had lost someone i loved because our sheriff thought a damn drunk driver deserved a second chance!! do your damn job jimmy!!

Showing your class and ignorance. I do live in Bledsoe County and I vote in Bledsoe County and I have most of my life. But I was smart enough to get out, get an education and live elsewhere for a while. Therefore, I know what should and shouldn't be, how important GOOD experience is and who has the ability to lead and who doesn't. And, like you, I am entitled to my opinion.
