It's good to know that they still do paddle. But it seems like every other parent these days says "You can't paddle MY kid." If a child is raised properly, the parent wouldn't have to worry about them being disciplined at school.

I have spent many years in the Bledsoe County School System. I know the children and I know the teachers. We have some amazing teachers. We also have several that need to go. The principles must document these incidents. I know teachers that have very strict teachers who never raise their voice. If you are a teacher and you can't control your class without yelling, you are not doing your job well at all. I know many teachers at PES who yell and are hateful daily. You parents don't have a clue how bad some are. There are 5 teachers who should be immediately fired. They think they run the place. Everyone know who they are
Whatever

No the problem with all of this! The parents allowing their misbehavior kids to act like this are the ones need to be paddled. Problem is the parents not taking care of their own children. These parents want others to take care of them all the time while just running around. Mostly kids are raising their selves. Don't blame the teachers having to do a parents job raising the students and teaching them... Look at your actions before you blame someone else!!!!!!!

The principals are the ones that are supposed to supervise teachers. Weak principals that won't or can't control their teachers is just as bad. Terry is supposed to supervise the principals and make sure they are doing their jobs. What has ever been done to a principal not doing their job? This all wouldn't be happening if the teachers had supervision from their boss.

Yeah, because Terry has nothing to do other than constantly supervise all the principals in the county. Perhaps you think Kiper did a better job? If your child is in middle school or high school (even upper grade school) then they know how they are supposed to act in class. If their teacher is having to raise her voice at them to get them to settle down, that is clearly momma and daddys fault for not raising them to show respect to their authority figures. Our teachers are trying their absolute best to prepare our children for the future. And when your child is showing his/her ass while others are trying to learn, then you can count on a teacher getting loud with them, especially when they know damn well how to act. If you have a problem with a teacher not letting your child hold the other children back, maybe you should consider pulling them out of the school system.

Bust the asses of your own kids- teach them discipline so teachers don't have to. Teach your kids to do what you say. Don't let them run over you then they won't try to run over teachers.

I heard something a teacher said about a child at PES a while back, I don't think I was meant to hear it. But I can tell you, there is a difference in a teacher getting a little loud to make a point , and one who is just plain cold hearted. I can't believe our new superintendent would keep such a mean woman working with small children. I hope she knows by talking about the child in front of it, will only hurt the child.

Back when my kids were in school my daughter started kindergarten and she got ms bands Wyatt as her teacher I knew nothing about her at the time But I came to light very soon
My daughter would come home crying every day now from kindergarten which should be when they start loving school but She traumatized my kid so I went down and sit in for a day and found out real quick what the problem was My daughter had troubles in school till she graduated So when my son went to the screen before they start kindergarten there was ms Wyatt and what did she do during the screening screamed at my son and of course he wouldn't answer anymore of her questions Do you blame him then and there I said he will not be in her class or he will not go to school that year thank God he got Treva Reed never had a problem with him in school he loved going to school so parents do what you have to before it affect your child in school

I remember Mrs. Davis yelling at my class a few times. But you can bet your ass we needed it. And if your kid(s) gave their teachers the respect they deserve, they probably would have no need to raise their voice. After all, it's not like teachers can put them in the corner or take away video game time like you do at home. I can also recall a time when teachers used this thing called a "paddle". It's a shame they can't use it much anymore. It is probably the MOST effective tool used in education.
Damn right. Thats why these kids are killing everyone these days. No discipline. I never had a teacher yell at me or whip my ass when i didnt have it coming. Parents need to learn time out doesnt teach a child anything. Beat their asses. Thatll teach them. I dont do the time out thing in my home. If my son misbehaves he gets his ass whipped. He cusses i wash his mouth out. When he gets old enough so i can whip him anymore. Ill take him outside and well have a good ol fist fight.

keep doing it,he will over come the wefare minded system we call public school,go to collage, get a real job.and leave here, and have a good life.but take care while he is in public school.that he really learns to read and write and really do math.because when he starts collage,he will need to be able in one summer to learn every thing he was not taught in school.like he may have to take chemistry, and never ever had it in public school, now he will have around three months,to learn enough to start out at collage level.really all he needs from public school.is reading write and math. and he can perform at top class level in collage.
