It doesn't make any difference whether momma is watching or not. If discipline is in order then fine, yelling no! Teachers are professionals and should conduct themselves as such (which most do). What would happen to an attorney who couldn't control himself when he got upset with a client or the court? Let him yell and see what happens. Which are more affected by the actions of an adult? An adult who breaks the law or an impressionable child? Children should not be exposed to unacceptable behavior PERIOD.

I agree, and one for sure to mention is nancy Ray at Pikeville Elem. Nancy, you are going to keep yelling until I come down there and then things wont be as pretty as they were when you jacked kids around last year! you wont be slapped on the hand by the school system next time. The school syatem will be held responsible, and you had better hide!

If there are certain ones that need to be called out on it, then go to the school and talk to the principal and do it the right, adult way. Here is not the place.

Sounds like teachers don't think anything will happen to them. The principles are their boss. Who do yall have to keep the principles doing their job?

No wonder the children act like they do, look at their parents. Especially the ones ranting and raving on here. The school system is for teaching your kids, not raising them. Right from wrong and responsibility starts at home people!

Yes it does, so stop yelling at our children! If you have problems with them, yelling is not the answer. I dont yell at mine, and no one else is going to either. The discipline is mine to do, and yelling at all of them becuase your having a bad day, or one or two children are not behaving is just wrong. You are not there to parent them, and decide what form of parenting to do. I agree with hte post about Mrs. Davis also. She is s witch! They treat their own kids so wrong, by yelling at them and making other people feel uncomfortable in public. Teach them at home, and stop waiting until your out to do it. She is just unhappy with herself, and so she is unhappy with everyone else. All they do is worry about how to get more money instead of spending time at home with their kids. They have been raised daylight until dark at ball courts and think the kids are super stars and they are not. Its really sad.

Really! 30 teenagers in one classroom been loud. What do you expect? Teacher will have too raise his/her voice to get the students to listen. It sounds like some of you'll need to stay a full week in the classroom with middle school. In the first place, teachers have a hard job to do with teaching. Some parents need to grow up and teach their children to be respectableful to their peers. Teachers are their to teach not babysitters.

Well people it seems like you all have some good points and bad, first of all i have a child in Bledsoe county schools and I'm not just tickled to death with the system. However, this is not the answer, getting on here and talking about people. If you have a problem, go to the school, then go to the school board office, and as high as you have to, I know Mrs Davis and have for a long time, you may not agree with her parenting, and she may not yours, however what the child learns is the point of school. So I'm sure if you will talk to HER, or whomever you have the problem with, maybe things can change! Getting on here bashing her and her husband, whom ARE family oriented , is not going to help. And we have the responsibility to raise and discipline our children, teaching them respect, which a lot donor have, and teachers have got to have patience and respect for the student also. Everyone needs to work together for the future of our youth!

I guess your children are perfect? Wow bashing other people's children is very uncool lady. And defines who you really are!

I challenge all of you that are complaining to go teach a class of 25 - 30 students for 2 weeks to get a good understanding of what teaching is like and then be graded on how well you taught the subject!!!!!!!

I am more concernef with the state requiring the teachers to re do their schedules. Changing the amount of time they were spending tutoring our children (U.S citizens) and MAKING them spend it on a bunch of mexican kids tha t don't even know what the hell the teachers are saying because they don't speak a word of english. Telling them it's the law.

I remember Mrs. Davis yelling at my class a few times. But you can bet your ass we needed it. And if your kid(s) gave their teachers the respect they deserve, they probably would have no need to raise their voice. After all, it's not like teachers can put them in the corner or take away video game time like you do at home. I can also recall a time when teachers used this thing called a "paddle". It's a shame they can't use it much anymore. It is probably the MOST effective tool used in education.
