Is it true that Dr. H has left the high school?

If this is true, it is a sad day for the high school.

He did more for our school and for the principal than people we even know. Everyone has short memories about how is was before he came to the high school.

He is a true Warrior and always has been. For my child's sake, I hope he has not left. People with his experience is hard for a place like Pikeville to replace.

Something needs to be done to keep him there.

My impression of that situation is that he was a disciplinarian than some of them wanted. That's what we needed. He was doing his job and some don't want that. If given a chance and they would get to know him, he's really a nice guy. If feel he's good for this county. Maybe I'm wrong but!

I just know he is the most professional man I have ever met in Bledsoe County. He is even president of the chamber of commerce. My daughter and her friends think the world of him.

Could be right. Last I heard, they haven't hired an offensive coordinator yet. That already hurts, we lost Josh.

Thank God he is still in the system and in a position to do great things for all the children in the county. He has great talent that desperatly needs to be utilized. He will do a great job in his new promotion.

Dr harwood was unceremoniously moved out of the h.s because he tried to instill discipline and pride. A perfect case of Bledsoe county punishing one of their own for trying to make things better. You people thought kipper was bad....you ain't seen nothing yet.

AwesomeAtheist, you don't have a clue. I have known Greg ever since first grade. He is exactly the opposite of what you are saying.

I am sure the drug dealers and users, bullies, tobacco spiters, and the like didn't feel comfortable with him there because he did his job and caught them. As a parent, I felt my child was safe with him there.

And, I am sure he would knows alot more about school law and what he could and could not do than probably anyone else in Pikeville.

It was a bad decision to take him away from the high school.

He did leave the high school but he's moving to adult ed I'm pretty sure. This man is no doctor, don't kid yourself. This "authoritarian" was a dictator who went throughout the school imposing his will on students that didn't understand law well enough to understand the tyranny they were living under 8 hours a day and the illegality of many of his actions including interrogation with law enforcement without a guardian or lawyer present. He looks the other way to his favorite pupils then makes sure to crack down extra hard on those who dare disagree with him or his actions
Tell me you sound like a person who as a student landed on the wrong side of the desk a few times because behaving yourself turned out to be too much for you.You talk of him being a tyrant and yet you dont know him at all instead you rather think the worst of anybody. No person is gonna please evrybody all of the time and yes he did crack down on those causing trouble which i suspect you wound up in.A bit of advice dont judge him by your standards which is let everybody do their own thing but by standards that is set by law.Since he and MISS PICKETT took over the atmosphere is better and more condusive to learning not fear and uncertainty that was prvailent under the former adminstration..

The people of BLEDSOE need to make a choice-do they want somebody who will do the job make the schools safe for students and ameniable for learning or do they want bullies thugs and lawbreakers to rule.It seems that some people dont want HARWOOD or others like him to make the schools safe they want favortism such oh i have money treat my kid different. Some want fear and a lack of progress to dominate. You the people of BLEDSOE must decide..

First of all, I don't live in Bledsoe County; however, I did have to call Dr. Harwood last year in reference to a family member that attended BCHS at the time. There were some issues that concerned me, and I like to hear both sides of the story. Dr. Harwood was very polite and professional towards me and about the situation I called him about. He even took the time to call me back later that day with more information. After speaking with him, there was no doubt in my mind he truly cares about the well-being of the students...even if the students might have done wrong. To this day, this student (family member) has the utmost respect for Dr. Harwood...and, as we all know, respect is something most students know nothing about. I, myself, also respect him and his professionalism.
