We want to talk about education in this county! How does the word " threat" get spell incorrectly on the front page of the paper. In a headline none the less!! Come on now we have a weekly paper that isn't much thicker than a good piece of toilet paper and we still can't get the spelling right. Might as well quit putting so much ink on it so we can use it for what it is! Cheap toilet paper!!!!!

I agree and the quality of the photographs are just as bad.I know a quality digital camera will make clearer pictures than this reporter uses.I don't consider it a newspaper, just a police report and obituary paper.Like everything else in pikeville,it's all we got.You never read a word about how bad the roads that the children travel down the mountain are. When tdot didn't have enough brains to finish highway 30 up the mountain, the paper was to scared of the state to print anything negative. That is a fact.

A few years ago,I offered to proof-read for the Bledsonian. My services were offered free-of-charge for one month ,then I would be paid to continue working.I was told they did not need my services !!!!Now,people are paid for their supposed "proof-reading" and look at all the mistakes that are made and printed.Disgusting!!!!!

Please do not attempt to tell us that you have never misspelled a word! You come riding in on the high horse condemning the abilities of the Bledsonian Banner. That's completely fine! Let's see how you like it. I have noticed some mistakes in your post. The first mistake is an improper space between the first of the quotation marks and the word threat. Secondly, you failed to use spell in past tense. It should have read "threat get spelled". The third noteworthy mistake is in the following sentence. "Come on now" is an exclamatory phrase and should be followed by some form of punctuation. Preferably an exclamation point. Finally I must notice the run on sentence, the very first sentence works better as a question, and the overall quality and order is a bit lacking. Scrutiny sucks doesn't it? We humans are not perfect. Get over it!

If you would take another look at your "facts", you would notice something very important. TDOT was forced to halt the Highway 30 operation due to instability of the mountain. Sinkholes, slides, and cave ins make building a road almost impossible. It would cost more money to stabilize the mountainside than it would to build the road in the first place. If my memory serves me correctly, the Banner reported about the hazards and concerns that came with the Highway 30 project before ground was ever broken. The Banner continued to report on the imminent problems. Bledsoe County did not stop the construction. The state of Tennessee did.

I'm not even going to attempt to correct your grammatical/structural errors. Learn to appreciate what you have rather than condemn it. Again, the Bledsonian Banner is not perfect. Nor is it thick like the Chattanooga Times-Free Press. I look forward to the weekly issue of the Banner.

The only thing disgusting is your diarrhea of the keyboard. After reading your post I can see why they didn't need your services. Does your computer have a space bar? Yeah? In case you didn't know... spaces also come after punctuation marks. I just thought I'd let you know.

First let me start by explaining that I typed my comment on a cell phone keyboard! So I'm sorry for the minor imperfections! Secondly when they start printing what I write on a published piece of toilet paper, I'll take the time to proof read it. And last but not least if you took as much time reading the garbage you write down there as you do reading the garbage I write on here, this wouldn't even be an issue!

Just between you, me, and the lamp post; I would say there is a HUGE difference between a post on this forum and a County Paper that is SUPPOSED to be professionally done. Proofread it 50 times if you have to but Get It Right or give the f***ing job to someone who can!!!!

You raise an excellent point. Why won't Certain people in Bledsoe County hire someone who is able and qualified to do the job? Are they too busy giving the jobs to their kinfolks, friends, or just anyone who kisses the right ass even if they cannot do the job? What's the deal in this retarded town? Reminds me of: "You're Doing a Heck of a Job Brownie!!"
