You meant the WHOLE world, but that's o.k. becuase you're right. Voting for a candidate simply because of their race is just "IGNORANT." Everyone, even "the haters," can see how much more prepared, intelligent, capable, straightforward and sincere Obama is over John McCain.
The haters can see how much more knowledgable and prepared Joe Biden is to be vice-president than Sarah Palin.
Why didn't McCain choose the most prepared, intellectual, knowledgable republican woman of world affairs to join his ticket if he truly wanted to win those women voters out there. We all know that Condeleeza Rice is much more knowledgable and capable of playing on the wordl stage than Sarah will ever be.
Vote the candidate

Hasn't eight years of failed policies and promises been enough for you.
John McCain means nothing but four to eight more years of high gas prices, inflation, bank failures, foreclosures, unnecessary wars and American soldiers black and white being maimed and killled in a country that has already asked us to leave.
Why would anyone with half a mind want more of that? That is just "plain ole ingnant." I know you are more intelligent than that Terry. Race or gender should never be an issue when it comes to choosing our leaders.
We should be looking for those individuals that we truly believe can make a difference. Race being an issue is so... 1950ish. Lets grow up as a people and get past color and choose the candidates we all know will serve this country best at this point in our history.

Why? Why not Obama? He and Joe Biden are the most prepared and suited to handle the task of untangling this mess we are currently in. John McCain's stand on guns isn't going to help solve this country's current financial state. However, Obama's Harvard education and Joe Biden's Syracuse University College of Law juris doctorate, along with Joe's 30 plus years in congress might prove them to be a little better suited for the job. Education and know how isn't everything but it should be key when we go to the polls to choose our leaders. This isn't junior high, we shouldn't choose candidates just becuause they are the most popular or the "right" color, but because they are are the most capable.

OK: I dont care what color a man or woman is...lets look at what they say. in total, not just sound bites, and then do the thing that so many of us have served to make sure we can do, make an informed decision and vote...

Taxes: Obama want to give 95% of Americans a tax cut....sounds good.....hows he pay for it? Raising corporate taxes.....sounds good again...until you realize that it is the consumer that pays corporate taxes through the pricing of the goods and services provided by that corporation...so higher corporate taxes = higher consumer prices....

Obama espouses raising taxes on people and business making $250,000....sounds good on the surface.....but as a business person I employ 15 people...and pay taxes on their labor....if my taxes are raised to where I pay equivelant taxes on 18 people either I raise my prices to all of my customers or I let 3 people go, keeping the remaining 12 until business goes south because those 12 can not sustain the load that it took 15 to do......make sense?

so just on taxes, Obama's plan has raised my taxes, given you a $1,000 tax credit (not a refund and we all know they don't equal out) and either cost 3 people their jobs or cause higher prices for my customers, or both, depending on the amount raised.

Another thing people are forgetting.....Democrats have been in charge of congress for 2 years now, both of which saw massive bail outs for large financial organizations, higher consumer prices, higher oil and gas prices, lost jobs...and the list goes on...want more of the same...then vote to give them even a larger majority in congress as well as the white house......want a change? get rid of the bums in congress who have been there since Christ was a corporal and stop laying everything on the president's door step...congress controls the budget, congress controls the spending, congress passes the laws...and in this curret crises it is a Demoncrat controlled CONGRESS who has done nothing for 2 years that brought it all down around your ears.

I believe Obama will win, mainly because of very uniformed citizens. Dig deep into the background of Obama. I did alot of research and was upset at the things I found and the information being withheld. I dont think McCain is the answer, but I think Obama will be our doom So vote for him and in 6 months, maybe a little more, I honestly believe you will regret it. There's more to this man than his fancy, well put words. Words that keep changing depending on where he is. I dont care what color he is, his secretive background in many areas is what scares the heck outta me. And Biden, he wouldn't even support Obama until he was chosen as his running mate. He cant even answer a question out-right. Sarah Palin has accomplished alot in Alaska. I think she is far more qualified that Biden. She has a good track record. Not all just opinion, I've done alot of research. Try it.
