The other thread about this says that it was a police chase? It must have been frightening for everyone involved.

He's in St. Mary's. Just out of surgery. If only they'd shot him 4 times. They shot him 6 times.

That is awful, why did they shot him so many times? and shame on ppd they are trigger happy cops, they could have done something else besides shot him they have tazers and pepper gas. they are bullys and love to hurt people. their badges has went to their heads they think they are on televison or something, well they will have to meet God with blood on their hands, and I hope they get worst.I have saw them beat up a drunk man, 4 of them just for the he** of it, they put him in a coma for 8 days. how hard could it be to deal with one drunk? im sure it didnt take 4 to beat him to a bloody mess like they did. SHAME ON PIKEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

he ran from them for over 15 miles and then when they finally got him stopped he jumped out and ran then turned and fired at the police first. if you had a gun what would you do pull pepper spray out while he is shooting or pull a tazer while bullets are flying at you. you would be a pretty stupid person so id say they done there job well plus there was a house full of kids in the house where they were at if hed made it in the house what could have happened think about that

Thieves, especially thieves that attempt to arm themselves and break into peoples houses while they are home, should killed on the spot, either by the homeowner or the police. no questions asked. it should be as painful as possible, but if the criminals armed and dangerous, it might have to be little quicker. I wish this white trash would have attempted to enter my house without invitation. The local funeral home would be stuffing cotton up his ass as i type this.

Is this the same incident? If it is, it apparently had nothing to do with an attempted robbery or burglary; but rather was a domestic inicident that turned very bad.

U know if this the same incident that happened last night, cause I know around 1030 or 11 pm. We were getting on us 23 and this idiot that was being chased nearly hit us, and I'm suppose to feel sorry for him. lol. Right!!! Do you people that loves the people that hurts society and hates the police, should really think before speaking. I mean really, what would you think if he had hit someone in your family and killed them and this idiot walked away. Think before speaking and give the PD a break....And honestly, they did their job and training, they didn't kill him on the spot.....

Well if this thread is stating the truth then this dipshit needed being shot and is blessed to be alive it sounds like.Everyone jumps on the police-bashing bandwagon(hell,I'm usually the 1st to do so)but
it sounds like this guy endangered countless lives during the chase
and then fired upon police first. He needed taking down by whatever means necessary.I do agree that police use excessive force in many cases, like the beating of the drunk you described above, but this shooting sounds highly justified to me(if it is the actual truth, like I said).

If he had a gun and was shooting at the police they had no other option. They had to do what they did to protect not only themselves, but other citizens too. If he was running from them and endangering the lives of others he had to be stopped.

You are so stupid. You run from the police, you get shot! Case closed. I say shoot them as fast as possible. I work and my tax money goes toward thier salaries. Times are hard and I can't afford to pay them overtime to go around chasing people. Shoot first and ask questions later, lol.

I as a tax payer am still pissed, 6 shots? Bullits cost money, where in the hell did these guys learn to shoot. If money is so tight they can't afford to spend some time on the range maybe they should all start carrying shotguns.

6 shots and not a kill, my grandma can shoot better than that and she has cateracts.

It seems that they weren't trying to kill him, just get him to put down his weapon before he killed one of them or an innocent bystander.

you have obviously never been in the military. Your knowledge of shootings must be based on tv and movies. Or you deer hunt and think that taking a controlled shot at a unsuspecting deer is the same thing as shooting at a moving fighting human!

Maybe when the PPD are saving you're deadbeat asses you will feel a little bit different. They get out and risk their lives everyday against the numerous dopers that live in the area. What do you idiots who want to bash them do for the community?(Besides keep them in business) If it weren't for them, the same doper they shot could have been after your ass. I bet you would love to see them coming if that were the case.

It was a joke! Vietnam Vet, it does make a difference when the adrenalin is pumping and the other guy is shooting back. The ol 12 gauge riot gun with 00 Buck still improves your chances!

All they do is drive around and listen to religious music while they wait for somebody's wife to slip out and meet up with them. They are a sorry POS. Ever know of them solving an actual crime? Didn't think so.
