I have never seen a more dedicated and loving Prof than Dr Carol Grizzard. I would walk through a shit storm with my mouth wide open for her. Also i think the college suffered a HUGE loss when Kay Hardesty retired. Kay is a brilliant man and the college was lucky to have him. He should write a book ... like ... NOW
She was ok, but she had her picks, she was not fair. "Carol's Cronies"

What do you mean she took another professors "wife?"
Also TONS of people brag on Carol Grizzard Browning. The woman is AMAZING. Pretty much anyone that has ever had her class knows how amazing she is. She really challenges people and she has dedicated her life to teaching, which is more often than not a thankless job. One thing she is not is a pushover. Her classes are tough but great.

Amazing at what? How does she challenge people? She challenges people and her classes are "tough" because a novel comes out of her mouth every minute. You will have a notebook full of the same thing over and over and over. Her grading is really off the wall. Some people will not answer entire questions on a test or leave out half of an answer and get a 98 or 100 and someone who answers exactly as she says it will get a 90. Before you even say anything, I got an A in every class I was in with her as the professor.

All of those individuals were my teachers as well. I have to agree with you....they were wonderful! It is sad to think that many of them have passed away. By the way, it was Janice Ford not Carol.

I agree with Dr. Mitchell. He teaches students how to be independent and to take control of their learning. He sucks while your in his classes, but now that I'm graduating,I've noticed that I've learned so much from him.

I attended Pikeville College when it was at it's best. Jim Andy Caudill will forever be a huge influence in my life. Bill McCloud was a saint. He always tried to keep me out of trouble and take care of me as best he could. Phil was the Dean of Students. Paul Butcher was the Baseball Coach. These men will always remain the essence of Pikeville College. I can remember going on all the band and jazz band trips to recruit students to "The Hill". I pray that President Patton sees the need to expand the humanities and bring back the Music Department. The local high school bands are suffering because there are very few local college graduates that want to teach in the area. Football is good. The School of Osteopath is good. Pikeville College Students need to be able to get the "rest" of their education. BRING BACK THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT!!!

I was there at the same time, Mark. The music program was tops. Basketball was great too, Big Mo Mark, Jimmy, Joey, etc. Ms. Culton in religion. Iranian and Thai students. Some fun times. Virgil Turner was the tops in political science.

Janice Ford was a great teacher. She helped me during a dark time in my life. She really cared about her students. She was a wonderful Christian Lady.
