According to the empirical evidence available to us, I am inclined to deduce that the number one reason that teenage girls are getting pregnant is that they have had sex.

Anymore girls are being sexualized from the time that they are very young. They are young and subsequently irresponsible and don't think about the consequences of their activity. They haven't a clue as to how drastically that it will change their lives.

If they don't try to protect themselves by using birth control, I think that they somehow feel better about themselves as they can try to justify it, that it just happened. They don't have to admit that they knew they were going to have sex. Stupid, isn't it; but that is the young mind. They don't think or act responsibly. Those things come with maturity; which sometimes we don't even see in adult women.

kids are not guided by their parents the way they are suppose too! im not saying it is all the parent's fault but kids are let go with cell phones and aloud boyfriends/girlfriends at such an early age and are aloud to act a in sexual grownup way when it isnt the time . kids want to grow up too fast these days, most teens who end up in parenthood early, the grandparents of these babies are the ones taking care of them. and those teenagers go out and do the same thing again and b4 u know babies # 2.3.4 and etc... pop into this world causing strain of survival for these babies and parents/grandparents. I only know 2 teenagers that became parents really early and now they are in mid 20's who bought their own nice house, a really good job, thier children have everything they need and they are party free, alcohlo free and drug free, and are very good parents and never expects anyone to take care of their children. and i can only say that may be the only 2 i will see for a while

Its the parents fault for not teaching them better then that. Also there fault also for no having enough common sense to be more safe.

It seemsvodd to me that no one has blamed the boys. It takes two to get pregnant so why all the blame on the ladys there. Maybe some of the guys need a little more knowledge about sex.

it makes me sick that all these teens are out here having sex and not even responsible enough to stay drug and alcohol free, then they turn around and want sympathy, help and handouts. They want to drop out of high school and get a job(so they say) and have mommy and daddy take care of the baby while they go out and party and get pregnant with another little innocent life. But its not all the teens faults, parents are there to guide them and lead them in the right direction but some arent so therefore these little girls thinks its ok and cool to have sex and is not mature enough to wear condoms and go get birth control, i mean geex these kids have got other issues to think about besides premature parenthood, STD's are everywhere. Not all teens that become parents too soon are bad , but there are only a few i know of that are responsible and loving enough to be good parents.

One of the biggest problems with todays culture is that we make out that sex is a bad thing and should be considered sinful and wrong. Religious practices aside thats so far from the truth it isnt funny.

We live in a very odd and sad culture in this day and age, only in america is it ok watching someone on Television get brutally tortured, skinned slowly, then have salt poured on the wounds before being killed yet the minute someone shows a breast....OMG CALL THE NATIONAL GUARD!!!.

I was a horny teenager once, I learned over time one of the safer ways to get sexual release and enjoyment is through oral sex and mutual masturbation. You dont need penetration to have a mind blowing orgasm. Sadly alot of teens dont want to use condoms because they feel wierd, which when i used them yeah they do a little bit however the newer condoms out these days feel like you have nothing on at all! And girls the pill isnt that expensive either no excuse for being pregant unless that was your goal
