Reed,Freddie, and Matt are cutting deals to take control of the hiring process. Who will be the next superintendent?

Dave Lester will be the next Supt. and you are right. Reed will be the Assist. Supt. Freddie will be there and Matt Mercer will be the personel director. Look for a few more very political last names to be hired for big bucks also. For the record these people beat the hell out of the idiots that are there now. Go to a board meeting and watch people suck up to the new guard. Priceless.

What I would ask, is for you to wait and see. If I am wrong, I will return to this thread and say I was wrong. Go to the next board meating and just watch. The deals have already been made. It started with being told who to vote for in the supt. selection process. Every person that they wanted in, got it. Done deal.

I think David Lester would be a great choice for Supt. He's a good person and would have the best interest of our students at heart. He doesn't have an ax to grind or promises to keep. As far as Reed, Freddie and Matt being in charge, why not? Most of us are just about sick of all the ones in charge now (who needed to retire YEARS AGO!!) It's time for some new ideas and leadership! I hope they clean house at the Central Office. I would be willing to bet that more than 75% of the Central Office employees can retire now, or within the next two to three years. It's not like we've been leading the state in test scores with this bunch in charge.

Is it true that the upcoming audit is being directed toward allegations at BMS?

David Lester would make a great superintendent IF he had the degree! His name is being used as a smoke screen! I heard he is trying to get his certificate but it is PENDING. In the meantime, HW thinks he has the job in the bag and the Three Amigos better make sure their schools' finances are in order... Just saying!

Just want to clear something up, I agree. I am all for this. I agree with everything that you said. The ONE THING that I would like to see is the new Admin. get rid of the 90 day employees in the county. Consolidate some of those job duties and not have every Tackett, Moore, and Company hired after they have retired. These people will work to until they are 90 like that. We need a fresh start.

Leadership, ideas? You're clueless. The three combimed couldn't run a school. The proof is in the pudding.

You're exactly right. I guess we shouldn't change anything. Everything is going great in the Pike County School System!! Test scores are high and morale is even higher! We definitely need to keep things the way they are. As a matter of fact, Wagner should rebuke his retirement and stay in for life!!!! You know, like a Supreme Court Justice. And, we should keep Kilgore and Johnson for life, too. First, though, we should let them retire and then hire them back as a 100 day employee or a classified employee. We definitely want to do what will earn them all the most money! Isn't that what our goal is? To make sure the old cronies make as much money as they possibly can. We'll worry about the test scores, students and teachers later...when the state takes us over and we have to actually make them our priority!

the outlook on the crystal ball don't look in favor of the many promises that were made, and looks as the new supt. will have his hands tide.Would a investigation cure the hiring practice maybe a little more digging, with the right agency involved.KRS

The ballot box for certified and classified employees were taken to each school to vote for their choice of a candidate to be on the screening committee, now how did these names get placed on the ballot? Now how was the parent rep.placed on the ballot, schools with a P.T.A or P.T.S.O. was to call a meeting at their respectful school and nominate a parent to be placed on the ballot, but that didn't take place not at our school, but Today's news-express editorial things its fishy that board member appoint himself, maybe when the insider that helped him and the other two gives his statement by oath the egg will crack.

I don't think I said everything was great in the current system. You totally missed the point. Keep in mind things can always get worse. Are you getting the picture? If they can't run their prespective schools, how can they run the entire county. Better yet, you might be right. Get them out of their schools and maybe the test scores will improve.

At least put a principal in that will come to school everyday and let their staff know that they are there.....LOL

It really doesn't matter who the committee chooses, the board doesn't have to accept their recommendation. Mr. Wagner wasn't the one the hiring committee chose the last time, but he was still hired as the supt.
