nope. everything was priced double too high. Especially for the quality of clothing that they were peddling at the sad, last end.

A fan of Doghairs...Overpriced, less than quality merchandise and some of the rudest staff this side of Lexington....Miss them, I think not!

I miss it. That's about the only place I shopped. My mom and I had shopped there for over 20 yrs. probably, and she just said a couple days ago that she missed it too.

I miss shopping at Dawahares especially around Christmas. The had the prettiest Christmas sweaters and vests. Also, they kept a very good selection of UK merchandise. I wish they could somehow reopen at least one store in eastern KY. I miss Goody's too:(

Poor quality clothing with a big, fat, inflated price tag. Rude sales clerks. However, many years ago, they had nice, name brands but still over priced.

Remember shopping the Dawahare's on Second Street in Pikeville. Had the greatest perfume counter. Shopped there one morning at 9:00 a.m. right before Christmas, listening to the radio in the store, said the temp was like 2 degrees or 0 degrees, and I was toasty warm in that store! Bought everything I needed for my husband: jeans, shirts, underwear, belt, wallet, UK t-shirts, cologne, and then took it to gift-wrapping and came home with everything in Dawahare's boxes with big Christmas bows that they made right on the spot! Great memories of a day gone by!

NO! That family took advantage of people for years. They sold low quality goods at a high price for years.
Most of the stuff you could get at Goody's.

It was very overrated, but it brought great joy to those of us who could afford to shop there. It's funny how carrying a bag with the name of a upscale store can bring so much importance to us. Im glad i got past that. Our society has got to much in to labels and logos.

Those of YOU that could "afford" to shop there were really idiots. YOu could buy the same items at TJ MAXX or Marshalls or GOODY'S for half the price. We bargain shoppers wore DAwahare clothing for much less. Hope you weren't trying to be a smart ass with that comment. It just made you sound clueless.
