What a sham

The service here was terrible. The sales man always had to run to the manager to "approve" or check anything.

The offer they made at first was a insult and when they made a second offer that was the final straw.

I told them I had to have no less than a amount, it was well below KBB or NADA prices, I checked before I went to the lot.
They offered less than the amount.

Before I could make it off the lot they called my cell with a third offer.
Then when I turned that down they called back with a fourth offer that was still less than what I told them I would take.

Just to put this in perspective, they offered me $100 more than pay off at first, then a bit more than that on the second offer.

According to both NADA prices and KBB value for the AVERAGE trade in for this truck was over $11,000. I owed almost half that. I told them all I wanted and the lowest I would take would be $10,500.

This place is a bigger sham and time wasting circle jerk than bruce walters.

No place will give you even close to what NADA or KBB values indicate your car is worth. I already tried with all the Bruce Walters dealerships and East Ky too. The later was actually better than the Walters dealerships. There is actually a different guide that the dealerships use and the prices in it were what they quoted me. I wish I could remember the name of the guide that they use. Let me look around and see if I can find it.

I am pretty certain that this is what the dealership actually used to determine what they offer. I was told part of the problem was that they cannot loan more than what a bank will authorize for a particular car. NADA and KBB give us inflated values on our vehicles so we wind up getting upset and frustrated when we try to go trade in our car.

I don't thunk you guys are understanding just how lowballed I was priced.

I owe $8400 and was offered $8500. What kind of a sham is that? Then then can't even come up that much?
Even Bruce walters offered me much more than that (10,500), along with Jerry brown (the highest offer of $12,000) but these jokers can;t even offer 10,000?

I understand they have to make money but every other place I have looked have started at $10,00 for my truck.

I was just looking around and getting some prices, but not only was the service here the worst of everyplace I have been, the way they tried to "deal" with me was absurd.

Even Pops chevy in prestonsburg offered me $11,000 for the truck and came down quite a bit on the car I was looking at.

The only two places I have went to where the salesman made the offers and did the dealing was pops chevy and mann toyota.

Just shopping around and so far East ky auto world has had the worst service and "dealing"

When I went to pops chevy and man toyota, BOTH of them pulled out a little NADA dealer book and SHOWED me the prices they would normally pay for the car.

Easy ky auto world wanted me to GIVE them my truck for (basically) the payoff and then refinance the car I was looking at.

Every other place has offered me much higher starting out. Its not like I was asking for exactly KBB or NADA prices (I was asking $1,000 or less than NADA or KBB) or anything.

I was low balled by Walters and offered only a little more for my vehicle at East Ky; but they were much nicer at East Ky. I finally had to go out of town to trade and buy a new car.

Check the galves link. I was offered $11,000 less than the blue book or NADA price; but the price offered was what was in galves. I owed nothing on the car and it had less than 12,000 miles on it, but it was a special edition model and harder for them to resell.

Unless I am overlooking it, I see no "free to try option" only a pay before you can use it one.

How is it that every dealer I have went to has been able to offer $10,000 OR MORE right off the bat? Two of them even showed me the pricing list they used.

Yet East Ky auto world felt the need to try and (what I feel like it was) scam me out of a truck.

Not one of the 5+ dealers I have been to felt the need to try and bend me over that hard, not even bruce walters.

If everyone else can offer a higher trade in and still be at the same or lower cost (yes I looked at the papers and loan terms when I was shopping around) right off the bat on what I was looking at I don't see why I would ever set foot back on that lot.

I was simply going by the value every other lot had started me at.
Here is a list of where I went and what I was offered. I like to shop around for the best deal I can find.

Jerry browns (paintsville)$12,000
Bruce walters nissan and mazda $10,500
Deskins ($10,200)
Mann Toyota $10,000
Pops chevy $11,000 (should have just took the deal honestly)
East KY auto world First offer $8,500 then $9,800 then they call me twice before I get a mile down the road.

After doing some research it seems that glaves.com goes by auction prices.

Along the lines of "if this truck was at a action it would be worth X average price".

However I have all the service records and receipts, even the temp tags from the day I got the truck.

Well, it sounds as if you were able to get what you wanted for your truck. I wish I had been so fortunate. It is a good idea to shop around before someone decides to trade in or sell a car.

I was annoyed at what East Ky offered me; but found their quote to be a little above the other local dealerships. They were also very nice to me, but I found my best deal in West Virginia.

I purchased my vech. from them and I was treated very nicely. In fact I test drove the same car at Walters and they asked 29,900 for it . I got the same car for 16,000 . So which was the best buy? I would go with East Ky Auto any day of the week. Very friendly workers there. Plus I will not have a payment until March if I choose to wait that long. Guess what else my payment is not 500.00 like every other lot in Eastern Kentucky ask me. These people know how to treat people and they see to it you are satisfied when you leave . So if you are looking for a vech. Go to East Ky Auto because right now they have the best sale going on they will beat any body around here. That is if you do not want to get screwed and pay double for the same car on down the road somewhere.

This coming from someone who lacks the ability to form paragraphs and proper spacing. Even going so far as not spelling out vehicle many times.

There is no way you looked at the "same car" at walters and got it $13,000 less else where.
It was not the "same car" no way, and nothing they had on the lot was anywhere close to the prices of what walters had, East Ky auto world was higher.

I was definitely NOT satisfied when I left. I went with the sales manager when he "test drove" my truck. I use the term "test drive" lightly, it was closer to running its guts out and I hate to think what it would have been had I not went with them.

Not sure how you "buy a car" then skip a payment or two legally.

I am glad you had a good experience there, I however did not. I was wholly unsatisfied with the service.

The "sales man" just ran back and forth to the "sales manager" to get the prices. Thats not a sales man, its a go between. At least pops chevy and Mann toyota delt with me one on one and SHOWED me the pricing guide they use.

Listen I have no lies to tell I bought the same car for 13,000 less. Payment not due until March. It is legal because if it was not Community Trust would not fiance illegally. Walters rips people off and so does all the other car lots around here. I am satisfied and as far as the salesman yes he did have to run between the 2 of us. But hell it paid off in the end for me. That is what he gets paid for and that is part of his job. Every sales person has to go to the one who makes the decisions on credit scores it is all part of the process. I guess if you went to Mann I guess the owner came in and took care of you his self lmao at you. As far as my typing or my paragraphs this is topix not a damn English class. I will probably know who you are when I run upon you out in public because you will be the person scooting across the ground as you walk from getting your ass burnt up by going some where else to do business. By the way exact same car 13,000 less than Walters.

Let me tell you when you go to Walters and look at a car you are over ran by sales people calling you everyday because they can not sell cars . East Ky Auto Mart is the place to go if you want quality for your money. Also only if you want a decent payment to go with that car/ truck that you purchase because Walters and all the rest can not budge from 500.00 or more a month. The people at East Ky Auto Mart does not hound you to death they actually give you time to check out every button in the car/ truck that you are buying if you ask them. I played in the one I bought for about an hour before we ever decided to purchase it. I looked under the hood and under it heck I even looked under the compartment for my spare tire. So if you want to be treated right go there . I have no lies to tell and the payment book along with my car to show what I paid. 13,000 less than the exact same car . I AM HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

Is the space bar and enter keys broken on your keyboard?

Ok, you got a car for less, and got a great payment plan. Good for you.
YOU got great service, I did not. I was just making everyone aware of that.

Every car lot tires to rip you off, even Easy Ky and walters. True. However East Ky auto world was by far the single worst experience I have ever had dealing with a car lot.

The sales man runs back and forth to the "sales manager" because he is not really a "sales man".
A true sales man will sit down and work with the customer, not run back to the sales manager to get the next offer or deal. Thats just a go between.

It was NOTHING to do with credit scores, but the price points of the trade in and the car for sale. NOTHING to do with anyone but me and the sales man.

When I went to mann toyoa and pops chevy the SALES MAN sat with me at his desk and we talked about the price of the car and the price of my trade in. He didn't run back and forth or ask someone else.
He didn't call anyone (besides the bank) and he did the paper work in front of me, in plain view.

He showed me the guide they used to price and appraise cars/trucks.

It will not hurt you to space the post out a bit into paragraphs, it makes it easier to read and flows better.

Get my ass burnt? Yeah right, that's why I shop around and get more than one price on a car model, and work with more than one dealer.

If I had traded with East ky auto world I would have gotten burnt. I would have been GIVING them my truck and buying something else.

How is that a good deal in any shape, form or fashion? When I was offered much more at others lots on similar cars.

look, I am glad you had a great buying experience there. Mine was terrible.

If you had a bad experience it is your fault but do not get on here and put down the Best car lot around here so far. Just because you think you deserved what ever amount it was for your truck. For heaven sake it is a car lot everyone knows they are not going to give what you ask. Not any car lots will do that. So good luck on finding you a ride. I hope you really reconsider because if you go somewhere else you will financing anywhere from 30,000 to 40,000 . The people that work there are nice people you have not had one nice thing to say about the salesman . Did you ever stop to think maybe he did not have the experience that the other person had. Maybe he was nervous. But yet you are on topix bashing a FINE car lot. Stop your crying because your truck was not worth more than what they offered.
