He was playing a game and laid it down...when he noticed he didn't have it, he went back to the game and it was gone...simple mistake..but, its not really finders keepers, cause the dumb person re-registered with apple on Friday, so now Pikeville City Police have the name, address and phone number of the person who registered. So I am sure they will be seeing the police soon! oh yeah and if they decide to destroy it or throw it away, we still have their information and they will be prosecuted. I have my receipt with the serial number also...so GOTCHA YA!!! As soon as the judge turns the name over to me..I will make it public for everyone to see!

Wishing you good luck and honestly I hope you get the phone back. I am serious, I can not stand a thief or a liar. SO good luck, as I don't mean to bust anyone's bubble, but It is a slim shot that you get it back.

But on te other hand I like the thought of the above poster that mentioned Kids don't need these high-tech gadgets. How old was your kid anyway.
Nothing against your kid at all, but I find it amazing, and unbelievable (not talking about your child or anyone specific) just in general that kids so young carry cell phones.

Why so they can call their second grade pal and ask them did some kind of grade school something. We all made it when I was young without all of this electronic gadgets. And we are doing fine.

But, Good luck and I really hope you find the phone.

As another poster mentioned above. Did you check to see if they have cameras in the room where the phone went missing?/
Good Luck

Maybe the kid already has to many material items??
Why would a grade school kid need a cell phone??

Did you ever think that the person that took it may need it more than your family??

If that is true will you be happy??

Once again!

Why does an elementary kid need a cell phone

THEY DON'T

I wont recommend putting his name public, rather he's a scammer or not. Because he can turn it around on you as trying to slander you and then sue you. I'd be happy to just get back and move on. You wont win against people like that, your better off putting more effort into teach your child to be more careful with stuff

I agree about slandering the persons name on here bc after all they found it they didn't actually ttake it from your child. The right thing to do would have been turn it in to an employee but these days so many kids do without why other kids have anything they want. I could see a kid finding it and keeping it bc facts are some kids are not taught any better. I don't think I would be replacing it any time soon if your child hadn't of laid it down it wouldn't have been there for the taking. It sounds like to me a kid has got it bc an adult would or should be smart enough not to do any updates to it in their name or address. Not a very smart move on their part. Now maybe some druggie got it and sold it and didn't tell the person it wasn't his and they resigned up leaving the door open for you to get it back anyway I wish the best to you.

Well to start it was NOT a phone, it is an I pod! So yeah, my 11 year old has one! It is more than a stolen I pod now, they have hacked my iTunes account and stole my credit card info and have made several charges on my account, so I don't think it was a kid that stole it! As far as putting the name out there I won't have to cause it will be in court documents, after I press charges on them for stealing my credit card information and making purchases on it!

Another student found the I pod and turned it into a gattiland employee! Then that employee never turned it in! Yes we watched hours of video, but it only showed the counters. Not the whole game room!

So an honest student turned it in and then the employee stole it? Wow, and someone said something about maybe they needed it more than your child. Wow, is all I can say to that. Does someone really believe that if you think you need something more than someone else that makes it okay to steal it? Hopefully it wasn't an adult, but rather an immature child that wrote that statement.

I wont have gave you the time of day, you screamed and yelled and threw a fit. You dont deserve help, lucky for you the management there is used to handling kids. otherwise you'd been out the door which they should of done.

I hope your son gets his ipod back and whoever took it gets prosecuted for this.By the way to all of the other posters about a kid having an iPod or phone what's it any of your business what someone else's child has because after all you didn't have to buy it for them.My child is 12 and has an iPod 5 that I bought and paid for and if anyone ever stole hers they better hope the police got them before I did.

It isn't theft if you found it. It isn't like they kicked your door down and stole it.

This is hilarious. Watched hours of video? I personally know better. Let's just say, that a judge isn't going to prosecute anyone for "finding" an ipod. If your kid isn't responsible enough to play video games, eat, listen to the ipod, and deal with mommys bitchin all at the same time, then I doubt they need an ipod anyway. I'm 24 and I don't take my ipod in gattiland. Face it,you allowed your kid to take it out in public and he lost it,its really your fault. No one else.

For age of 24 you make a lot of good sense!
Momma throwing a fit worse than the child would have been well worth the price of admission to watch
