A lot of people are afraid of an economic collapse or several events that could break down society and shut down the food supply. Large natural disasters, earthquake, EMP or solar storms, large storms as just hit New Orleans and New York.

How many of you are preppers, storing food, water, guns and ammo just in case society breaks down and you will need to survive on your own?

You are an absolute fruit loop and you need to be locked up in one of those FEMA camps and hopefully WTF is with you and you can rub FUPAs and BIFS together in captivity.

There will be a catostrophic event of some kind in the next few years. You buy home insurance and car insurance, health insurance, why not spend a little on being self reliant in case the grocery store is not an option.
There is just a 3-4 day supply of food at the market and not that long if there is a panic and a run on the food stores. The government can't take care of everybody at all times, if you had a Katrina and a Sandy at the same time the government would be overpowed and unable to cope!

And when you divulge all your info, esp. on the internet, you are advertising to all the rats to come to your place because you might have a cup of coffee or a biscuit when there are others that are expecting the government to show up with a handout and a generator. I feel sorry for the sweathogs that end up in the Katrina scenario. But thats the rule of the jungle.

How do you divulge all your info on an anonymous blog using an alias? Part of the prepping is the protecting, guns and ammo. The cities will be in a world of crap, NYC was a mess even with FEMA, and New Orleans was worse for the first couple of days, complete breakdown of order. Was just wondering if anybody was into prepping in East Ky. most of the riff raff from the cities will be trying to get out and head for the rural area's.

I have a curious, malevolent streak in my warped brain, and I am just chomping at the bit to blow some "zombies" brains out as they try to storm my premises and take what I have pain-stakingly accumulated over the last few months. Atheists and dim-wits will laugh at the prophesied mayhem and tribulation that lies just around the corner, but when you become "cattle" for the ravenous, murderous mobs that will literally CANNIBALIZE you and your families when starvation stalks this Godless, sinful, country, your laughter will become screams of horror as you realize that life is more than just a joke, laying on your a$$es and living off the labors of others....heh heh heh

What food staples available local have long shelf life and what is the best way to store it? Dehydrated or what they call survivor food is expensive and not practical for people on a fixed income or limited budget. Someone's research in this area would be helpful, and ignoring the gay homo troll that ruins every thread would be helpful also. Just don't feed the troll, that is one plague that I hope starves out first when society fails.
