What's up with the hiring down there? I worked there for a couple of yrs a few yrs ago. I was thinking about applying again, but I have heard they are doing open interviews? Someone I know went and applied and said it was awful. He didn't even have a real interview. He said it was him and a bunch of other people in the room and he was told we will call you if we want you.

One thing that I have heard about ACS. They always talk about their great pay. I know people that would come in to work. They would work for 4 hours then someone in management would tell them that they could go home. They might call and let that person come and work 4 more hours later on that day to get their 8 hours. Only problem is that no one ever calls and the employee is stuck with only 4 hours a day of work. To some people working only 4 hours a day might sound good. But it's not really good for your pay check.

Wasn't like that when I woked there, but things were always changing. IDK what's up with that. They almost made it a requirement for us to work overtime. That wa no problem for me though. I burnt it up.

Yes, the hours is something that I have heard from 4 different people. But who knows. I don't really know these people very well. It's people that I used to work with at other places. We pass in Wal-Mart or some where. I will ask where they are working at now and they will say ACS. And then they tell me about their problem with hours. The low hours could just be part of the training that ACS puts people through. Once a person gets expeirience than they get more hours. Who knows. Maybe management just doesn't like thier work or just doesn't like them period.

Another things about acs it they lie about the pay scale. During training you make $8.50 an hour, and after training you make $8 an hour, plus bonus. It is almost impossibleto reach the top tier of the bonus system. The radio commmerical tells you $18-$22 an hour, bullshit! Also just for general info if something happens in your life and is out of your control you most likly will get fired over the situration. During the flood last year they fired people who lost thier homes and didn't come in- some thing with reccent snow storms.

the pay scale has changed. you make per call. your pay is based on your average handle time and ir. if your ir goes down then your pay goes down. if your transfer rates are more than 25% THEN YOUR PAY GOES DOWN. IT DOES NOT SOUND VERY GOOD BUT WHEN I MADE 8.00 PER HOUR I AVERAGED 800.00 EVERY TWO WEEK. NOW I BRING HOME 1000.00 AFTER TAXES. The pay is great and yes you do have to put in a lot of ours but it brats breaking your back all day

I loved it when I worked there, but that's been yrs ago. Had an awesome sup. The job is soooo easy. I mean there were things I totally disagreed with, but you will have that anywhere you go. My only issue was the occurances. I don't agree with being given an occurance when you are in the ER because some moron hit you and totaled out your car! But i think they changed that before I left. And I heard about the pay being better, but what's up with those interviews?

what happens when you have already began working and you find out that you have failed the drug test due to THC (marijuana) will they give you a seconed chance? I have cleaned myself up and just made a BIG mistake and smoked a little a while ago, I really really like the job ans I just pray that I do not get terminated, does anyone know what they might say or do?

More than likely they will term you. I know they damn sure would when Addison was running the show. They used to could do random drug testing if they suspected you were on anything as well, but IDK if they still do that or not.

well i work at acs, its a sh!thole and i wouldnt advise anyone to work there, the 4 hr work thing, TRUE! I just got fired from there about a month ago but only because i wanted to know, it got so f'n stupid!! You get paid per call now, and the highest per call you can get is like $3 something, its not worth the gas it takes to get your a$$ there! I hate it, i would never go back, like i said before i'd never advise anyone to work there! You dont learn sh!t when your in training and your basically through to the dogs when you get on the floor by yourself, upper management thinks there sh!t dont stink and that there better than everyone else, oh an heres another kicker " you only get paid good per call if your customer agrees that you were good" if the cust. is pissed at someone else and they only remember you, YOUR F U C K E D!!! trust me, went through it the whole last horrible month i was there!!! DONT WORK THERE!!!

ACS in Pikeville is a horrible place to work. I quit because of the horrible working condictions. I was a a top rated agent- ACS forces you to work overtime alot of weeks- promotion is done with not what you know but who you blow. Sprint is always changing the rules, and the rules are meant to limit the earning potional of agents and meant to limit the ability of the agent to resolve an issue with a customer. The pay isn't really that great even, but if you don't have alot of other opportunies it is fine for you. Mangement is impotent and will break their neck to aviod an agent- I spent 20 minutes sometimes during peak call volume hours serching for an supervisor- hint you will find them out by the dumpster, hiding in a group. Don't think I am some bitter ex employee, I left on my own accord, and a couple months ago they tried and convice me to work there again- because I was an excellent agent. There if you care more about customer resolution then corporate policy you will get in trouble.

That is funny because Addison bought drugs off of other people that worked there. She was a bigger pot smoker than the rest of them. So I wouldn't be defending her honor on that account. She was as I call it the "Bill Clinton" of ACS. The numbers were good, but she was shady as hell.
