Not your ordinary coal slum, we have had those for years in the coal industry, this is different. It not only is the Obama war on coal it is also competition from Western Coal and the competition from natural gas. New drilling techniques have opened up billions of cubic feet of cheap natural gas. Natural gas burns 50% cleaner than coal so you will see more and more power generation facilities switch to natural gas. If your livelihood depends on coal you either have to face the facts and start looking for some other way of making a living or be prepared to be unemployed long term. Coal will not be coming back this time, you need to understand that fact. We will always have a metallurgical coal market but 90% of coal production now is for steam coal. Start looking for another way of making a living, coal is over!

Obama's EPA is killing us but they are using natural gas to kill us with. It may be plentiful now but when you get all the coal fired plants converted over to Nat Gas they will holler the demand is so high they need to raise the prices. They will sell it artificial low also in order to get their foot in the door but when they get everything converted watch the price go two time the price of coal fired.

Just out luck, no jobs and electric bill will be triple what it is now.

You don't see the truth. Bush Has all his money in the oil and gas industry. Hell Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton before becoming vice pres. Obama is just the next fool to carry on the bidding of the powers that be. You guys are fooled into thinking its all the government fault. At the same time the country cant pay its bills the oil companies are raking in the big bucks. Wake up farkwads it bringing down the house! They are in bed together and yall cant see it. Our government is the scape goat for the powers who are in charge. They say the government regulation keeps them from operating while they rake in bigger profits than any time in history. The government gives them big contracts of our tax money putting us in debt while they walk away with the bank. Moat corporate rich people pay less taxes on millions and billions of dollars than we do while we pay taxes we cant afford. Wake up stupid people it both.

Thats what you have been led to believe by this greedy corporations and their stock holders, and they are the ones that lobby these politicians to introduce bills and pass them to benefit themselves,it is simple to figure out the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. We are in a time where you are going to be control or try to be controlled by lower wages,no insurance, and at the mercy of them for most of the people been custom to a pretty good way,and if anyone believes this politicians are for the benefit of the poor they are stupid .
