Steaks? Burgers? What sort of menu? More gag me with a spoon institutional style cooking like applebarf's, TGIFudgeMe's, RubMeonDeuceday's, ChillMe's?

I hate those places.

I agree about Applebees but I am going to say TRH is going to be GREAT for Pikeville and Pike County. You are right about hiring the dopers, but at least they TRY to work unlike many of our wonderful check-drawers (not the ones that are really hurt-before I get jumped) Applebees is a half-day freakin even when you eat there! Even if 10 tables are open, there is still a wait. I think if nothing else, Roadhouse will force them to get their act together. The Roadhouse in Ashland is pretty damn good.

TRH is not Applebee's, so don't judge it until it's up and going. Being judgemental just show's one's real intelligence.

for Reno's Steak House, not so much Applebee's. The TRH is more of a sit down or buffet style steak joint, Applebee's is a more of a sit and be served style of resturant with more variety..

Reno's will be in trouble, may have to get back into customer service and searving the good cuts of beef, not the old stuff with a warehouse smell and taste. I always order rear or medium there to get a better chance of not getting some old cut pawned off on me...

Texas Roadhouse does not have a buffet. They are not like a Ryans or golden corral. You go in, you get seated and a server takes your order. As far as variety goes, TRH house has salads, soups, steaks, pork chops, chicken, burgers, trout, salomon, shrimp, club samitches, stir fry, ribs, ect.**Yes I have eaten there quit a bit.** Not to mention the different ways they prepare stuff. In a addition to the appitizers and deserts.

So to say they are a sit down buffet style place is just straight wrong. To say applebees has more of a variety of food, IMO is stretching it a bit. But that is a matter of opinion, and to each their own.

Anyways, as was stated, as long as they dont hire a bunch of dope heads to work there, The texas roadhouse will be a great place to eat. I for one cant wait till they get it open.

I have a feeling lots of restaurants will be going out of business as soon as they open! Where do you think everyone will be eating? TRH, that's where! Plus, they will hire all the employees away from Applebee's and the majority of the restaurants in Pikeville! If everyone who has eaten at a restaurant in this redneck town knows, there isn't anyone who has a lick of sense! I personally don't know where they're going to find the type of employee to deal with the amount of business they are going to do. Like I said, if it is staffed right I see a lot of going out of business signs in rerestaurant signs around Pikeville soon after their opening. Count on it!

I hate the applebee's 2 hour wait on the weekend nights, this may help with the big wait times!

It's a heck of a lot better than Applebee's in my opinion.
