You shouldn't be worried about which clinic gives you the highest dosage if you are committed to getting help with addiction. There are many good clinics in Pikeville; but you do need to be ready to do this and follow the program. You might want to check with Dr. Ronnie Parker in Johns Creek. He seems to have a good program; but his program is full most of the time. He might have an opening available.

If you want a list of clinics available here you can go to addictionsurvivors.com . There is a physician matching system there where you will be able to find physicians close to your location.

Dr. Webb? Is he okay? I know that it is $300 for the first visit. Counseling required?

Dr. Webb is a good doctor and a fine person. I think that the cost you mentioned is about what most of the clinics are charging. Many do require counseling. The laws governing suboxone clinics state that a physician must have a source of counseling to refer their patients; but it does not say that counseling is mandatory. It does help some people.

Counseling is part of any recovery program. The reason people fight it is because they have to pay for it. People will pay any amount for a pill and travel as far as they have to, to get it and don't care who sees them getting it but they don't want to pay for counseling and they don't want to be seen going in a place for counseling. Suboxone is a medication that keeps you from the pain and sickness of withdrawals and get you out of the fog of opiates so you can seek counseling. But always keep in mind "you can't tell a know it all anything".

ASAP Plus, on Hambley Boulevard includes all counseling and drug testing in their monthly fee.

All I pay is $300 per month ($400 the first month)and everything else is taken care of.

Plus, they are great people!

the thing is alot of ppl who go there arent interested in the counseling, its a shame, they might really get off that shit if they went with the program and tried to work thru their problems, instead of worrying a bout how much of the drug they will get

Are they just a counseling center or do they also work with a physician that prescribes suboxone? If so, who is the physician?

I think the real question that every drug addict is on hear hinting around out is, "Where can I pay the least and get the most to support my nasty habit?" Suboxone/methadone clinics are all doctor scams making money off the system. Any "doctor" participating in this nonsense should lose their license!!!

I am sorry you feel this way but Pikeville treatment center saved my life! I was a junkie banging coke & oxy's all day everyday & I started in the clinic when my daughter was 7 months old. I get weekly drug testing & counseling & it has done wonders for me. I am not even the same person I was 2 yrs ago, I not longer hang out with the "drug" buddies, honestly I don't have any friends cause when my partying ended they all split & that's fine with me. I have even got my hisband into the clinic & it saved our marriage & now he has a great job & we are only improving more & more everyday! Yes it does cost 100 a week but I was spending over a thousand a month or more on drugs plus what my husband was spending. Every single member of my family has seen first hand just what a miracle the clinic has done for me. I will agree with you it's not for everyone & not everyone makes it in there. It takes alot of dedication & self control 2 work the program, but I don't think it is a money scam or that the doctors should loose their licenses.
