Has people been finding their Pikeville medical hospital's private patient record information being given to others without consent?

Or finding other patient's medical files left in rooms?

If so, has anyone contacted the hospital about it?

GOP, you sound like a employee and not a patient.

Nothing you said has a thing to do with medical records either.

I have tried to find anything on the "Hospital of the year" award and find nothing at all on it anywhere but at the hospital, the most I have found is something about customer service (Pretty much answering telephones) award by some cheap website. I have researched in litterally 100's of known medical awards and do not even see Pikeville Medical listed on anything. I saw where Pikeville Medical said they won hospital of the year award over Mayo and John Hopkins however could not find a thing on that either. I have personally visited John Hopkins and Mayo, I have to say Pikeville Medical has nothing on those two hospitals at all. I have googled and googled for Pikeville hospital of the year, and nothing pops up but pikeville medical itself.

Medical files left in a room? Get real, they use these things called computers now. They don't have a file on a clip board hanging on the foot of the bed anymore. They use computers on these rolling computer desks that everything is stored in. Those computers are not even left in the rooms. The nurse rolls them in when she comes in and out when she goes out. If you are going to make up a story about the hospital, at least make up one that can be believed.

Actually they have the files in folders and bring those to the rooms, not on computers.

Now if your going to make up stories, at least do not try to tell stories to people who has been Patients at Pikeville medical center.

In all my times of being a patient there I have never seen a nurse rolling around a computer.

Next your going to say I made up a story about what that pikeville hospital of the year award really is also right? Anyone can use google and find that out.

The hospital of the year award that Pikeville medical talks about is:

A award that reflects excellence in four areas of a patients experience with the hospital: security, comfort, convenience, and caring afforded to patients.

However I keep searching more on this award and do not find it anywhere but Pikeville Medical's website and the Award giver's website. Clearly a Hospital of the year award where it is stated beats out the top hospitals in America should be found in more than those 2 locations and should be in magazines and medical journals or something.

Now to go further in your statement "If you are going to make up a story about the hospital, at least make up one that can be believed. "

Clearly you do not know the difference between a question and a statement of fact.

Asking a question is not making a statement, there is a difference.

I take it your last trip to the hospital was back in the 70's? If you just walk in the hall, you can see the computers there. All you have to do to access the records is know a user name and password. How many of them do you know? There are paper files in the nurses station, but alas, they don't leave the nursing stations. I know what I am talking about, so stop making up stories. If you are going to tell one, at least tell one that is believable.
