I don't know about pikeville but stay away from johns creek. It's all about who you are and if you work there. The coaches and teachers play favorites to who they know. And the principal will tell you anything to get u out of his face. He is a idiot. Mullins is the better choice. Mr birchfield is amazing. There's no favoritism and he really try's to do all he can. He is always involved. He was on the radio the other day about stopping bullying. Something reed could care less around unless it's one of his kids. Trust me. MULLINS.

Both JC and Mullins are really good schools. My kids go to JC and they love it there. I haven't seen any favoritism there, and bottom line is that it's not the opinion of the parent that matters, it's the child's. If they are comfortable in the environment, then they learn better. Mr. Reed is the principal there, and my kids love him. At Mullins, Mr. Birchfield is an excellent principal as well. I've stopped in there a time or two, kids seem to respect and love him as well. Both schools are well organized, very clean, and have a group of very friendly staff working there also. Pikeville is the only school that I don't know much about, except that from what I hear, nothing but snobs go there. If you're an outsider, they will treat you as such. Most of the higher end wealthier parents send their kids there, so you can imagine. If you aren't in the city limits, and you want your kids to go there, the tuition is outrageous from what I hear. I've never considered sending my kids there because I want my kids to see each other as equals.

I don't know anything about either school for the most part but I know one thing about mullins. the parking lot is too small for all the parents picking up their kids. they need a bigger one. that place is crazy afterschool during pickup with everyone just parking their car where ever they can blocking each other in. they park where there aint even a space.lol

it's chaos,a huge mess.

I don't really think that they park technically. It's true, the parking lot is too small. The parents who are there to pick there kids up stay in line like a drive through. When they make it to the front of the building where the kids are waiting, their child gets in, then they drive behind the building to go around the other side to exit.

Check the BOE website. They've got testing scores for both schools posted so you can compare Mullins and JCS. Both schools are pretty good. Mullins in a nightmare as far as dropping-off and picking-up your kids, though. Keep that in mind if you work.

My child attends pikeville elem. and he and I both love it there. The staff are wonderful. The teachers are awesome and the principal is too. We live in city limits so we do not pay tuition and my child is treated no different. He does not have to wear name brand clothes to fit in either. I do not know much about the high school but I have heard it is a whole different ballgame but i guess thats any where ya go. I do not know anything about Jc or mullins but i do know pikeville elem is the best by far...I wouldnt even consider sending my child any where else..Give it a try i promise you will not be disappointed with this school. My child has learned so much.. Every one is treated equal and not every child there is wealthy and they are treated the same..i uded to work there and i know. its just a great school all around...
