I heard that he fish tailed it too, pulling out onto the road. Someone said that right before that, he was doing donuts in the parking lot of food city. He should be charged for murder and for being stupid!!!

I used to catch my ride every day going to coming home from work at food city, it seemed i saw that kid in that mustang all of the time, I remember it distinctly because it was extremely loud. Everywhere that kid went it was full throttle. Every time he passed someone he racked it off, reving it to the redline, just showing off and such. I told my wife that it wouldnt be long and he would die in that car. Too much power for an inexperenced kid. Now look, hes killed a man. Him and his daddy both should be charged for some kind of neglegence. Nothing kills me more than mommy and daddy buying muscle cars for inexperienced kids for their first cars. It makes me sick that hes killed someone, and surely cause a family alot of grief. but im so glad he aint on the road in that stupid car anymore.

who was the boy? was he a young boy or a young man?
and i agree, no matter how much money someone has, an inexperienced driver shouldnt be driving a car with that kind of power and they should not be given a car like that by their parents who only want to out do other people.
this is an awful thing for the dead mans family.

So you think he should go unpunished for taking a life with his jack-assery just because he is your friend???
Would you feel the same if it were your dad that died as a result of him TRYING to show off in a car he couldn't handle when he had absolutely no reason to?
This is a serious matter, he took a life while breaking several traffic laws. This is really no different than using a gun recklessly and having it go off and kill someone. The intent may not have been there but the crime sure was.
This was not an accident. The intent to kill was not there, but the intent to drive like an idiot certainly was.
Driving is not a right, it's a privilege that comes with a HUGE responsibility. Obviously he abused that privilege and wasn't grown up enough for the responsibility that came with those car keys.
There must be consequence for his actions, the regret he has to live with the rest of his life is not enough.

I get that he is your friend and you feel bad for him. But I am sorry friend or not it doesn't change the situation.

If he was driving in a reckless manner and caused someone's death that is negligent homicide. He caused the mans death by operating his vehicle in a reckless manner without regard to the health and life of others. That is a civil court charge, it may not end up in criminal court but he left himself wide open for civil prosecution. Someone will pay through the nose for this one.

It goes to show you that people will say anything. There is no possible way he could have been doing donuts in Food city parking lot prior to the accident. It was the first of the month. That parking lot was packed. There was no open pavement anywhere to do donuts. So before you assume and speak out of term please re-think.You don't want to be in the middle of this! All you and everyone else on here needs to do is just Pray for all the families involved.

Oh I'm sorry...you sound as if you were there. Did you see what happened?? Or, maybe you're just assuming too!!! That's what I heard, and there's skid marks coming from the back road to Food City parking lot as well. So, if he wasn't doing donuts, he was still playing around and being an idiot!!!

First of all the car wasnt his, but did belong to his family. No one could have seen him "every day" in that car because he didnt drive it all the time and they only owned it for 3 or 4 months. Second, what were the "several" traffic laws that he broke? There is a reason that the accident is still under investigation. No one knows exactly what caused the accident which was just that, AN ACCIDENT. Things like this do happen every day. I do know what its like to lose someone to this sort of thing. Except in my case the guy who caused it was drunk. The boy in this accident wasnt & never has been drunk nor high and he works everyday.
And how exactly do you know that those skid marks that you saw coming from the back road to FC were from the day of the accident? I come through that road pretty often & those have been there for as long as I can remember.
I think everyone needs to get the facts before they decide that they know what happened, but doesnt seem like anyone is interested in that.

He made the marks, maybe not that day, but they were his. I know some if his coworkers and was told he drove reckless every single day. A couple if them even spoke with him about driving more responsibly BEFORE this happened.
I don't believe he was doing donuts in the parking lot that day. Maybe he did at other times, I don't know.
What I do know is that this was certainly no accident. I am sure the intent to kill was not there. But I am also sure that the intent to drive like a jack ass was there. He didnt accidentally stomp his foot all the way to the floor when he pulled out of food city.
While driving normally it is IMPOSSIBLE to gather as much energy required to hit another auto hard enough to knock it into a third auto and a pedestrian in the short distance between food city and the beer store.
It is what it is, I hate that this happened for everyone involved. But he is an adult now and as an adult must be held accountable. There is no mulligan when your stupid behavior takes another persons life. He made his own decisions behind the wheel, no matter what anyone said to him. This burden and responsibility is fully on his shoulders and he has to accept the repercussions of his actions.
