Combs' failure to lodge or vocialize an objection against OBAMA's Environmental Coal Mining Policies (by withdrawing as a delegate), so OBAMA could have a unamious vote on the convention floor, as a favor to the Governor, means that Combs is a coward and not qualified to represent EKY. However, Combs will go to bat for Pikeville College, Paul Patton, or Gov. Bahsear. The lady must have realized if she had voiced an objection then she would have gotten interviewed by an objective reporter in Charolette, NC, and put in jeopardy her public image by having to actually answer a question that is not from a canned article put together by the NEWS EXPRESS. Combs has no real intellect, the dumb blonde stereotype is now made legend by Combs. She gave up a literal "prime time" opportunity to reach out to a national audience and set the record straight for Eastern Kentucky, but instead what did she do, she granted the Governor a favor and stepped aside, and did not challege Obama. An embarassment to Pike County.

I take it you missed the article in the paper where she voiced her objections, and asked for someone in his administration to contact her before she would give her vote. IMO she did what she could. Maybe it wasn't enough for someone like you but you can't make everybody happy all the time. Just for your info Romney has stated he thinks the future of America is natural gas. Of course he will say about anything to get your vote right now. Sort of like running for Governor claiming to be prochoice, after winning office completely flip flopping. Not that it really matters now, he has fell to around seven points down on almost every poll, and with the video that surfaced it is all but over.

The WHITE FLAG of SURRENDER, no voice of opposition against Obama's Policies, Combs just stepped aside and let Obama's team present a unified convention to the American people. My question is this, although Combs did not do so affirmatively by any acts on her own, but in some regards doesn't Combs bear a moral responsibility for allowing Obama to trick the public. Could it be that Combs by actually releasing certain background information about why she stepped aside as a favor to the Governor to help Obama, that Combs is trying to signal to us about her own inadeqencies, maybe Combs wants out as State Representation. Maybe she is signally to us that she cannot say no to men in positions of authority. She followed Patton on the initial UPIKE issue against the miners, and now with Bashear in favor of Obama against the miners. The commonality of both matters has left Miners with the short end of the stick. Lets not only do the miners a favor, but we can help Leslie also by voting her out of office, it appears she no longer really wants the job, does anyone else agree ?

Yes I Agree 100% With You. She Got My Vote Last Time, But "NEVER AGAIN". She Is Hiding Behind A False Face, And Must Think We Are Stupid.

She did all she could do. She wrote the President a letter expressing her objections about his stance against coal but that letter was ignored. The ONLY recourse she had was to withdraw as a delegate. There was not a forum for her to voice her objections. After she gave up her place as delegate, she lost her tickets to enter back into the convention.

She also is a KY democrat and stepping aside was what was in the best interest of the party. Like it or not, she was being respectful of the Governor and her party.

Basically, she was dam*ed if she did and dam*ed if she didn't.

The worse thing about this is, I like many people thought Leslie was a true dynamic leader, and I actually told that to my daughters and grand daughters. Never again will I be dupped by the likes of Leslie Combs, she is not the strong willed woman in politics I thought she was. Leslie will never a Martha Lane Collins, nor is Leslie qualfiied to be in the same room as Allison Grimes our current Secretary of State, nor is Leslie like Rep. Webb. These women have a real backbone and are true role models for our daughters. Leslie is unable and too navie to stand up to men, but sometimes a woman has to. The more I thought back on the "canned" article thing the more I started to cringe, that is so right Leslie is nothing but a pretty face used by men who pull ton her puppet strings and the local paper takes a picture and gives it a headline as if Leslie is a dynamic leader, buts its all a dog and pony show, carefully crafted to project and protect the false image knoen as LESLIE COMBS.
