I practically used to live there 99-03. I went to a matinee every Saturday it seemed. It's better than The Strand ie The Bland and the movie theater in Painstville by a long shot. My only gripe as of recent is that I wish they would invest in at least one digital projection system so they could show the onslaught of new 3D movies coming out this year. The new 3D tech is incredible and is NOTHING like the 3D of yesteryear. you must see it to believe it. It's insane!

They also need to invest in upkeep. The place is very run down.

I think that they do a wonderful job keeping the place up for a building 10 plus years old. They have great movies but do need to upgrade to digital in at least one theater.

The floors are cracked & need buffing, the fabric on the walls is dirty & torn, bathrooms need floor repair, and the parking lot needs repaving.

The Weddington ran for 50 years before it began running down.

It is very dirty and run down. The owners are not spending any of that money on upkeep.

I hadn't bee there in a good while, went there about a month ago, and yes, it's very dirty and run down. It's a shame they would let it get like that.

The Cinemas were something that Pikeville could be proud of when they first went in. It is a shame that they have gotten to that level now.

Be glad you have more than one. I can remember the days when there was only one to go to. Times are so tough.

I haven't ever had any problems with any of the staff there. They all seem very nice and know what they're talking about. I don't think it is really that worn-down and dirty either. Yes, it could use a little of an upgrade but it's not like it's that horrible.

The people are nice, admission is fair, but the cost of consessions are way too high.

Yeah that is a very good point. The concessions are a little costly.
