Why is it that when you go in there, there is almost always a rude woman at the front desk? Went in there today and she had such a snooty attitude. I know your job sucks just like everyone else's but don't get attitude with someone who doesn't give you one first.

pretty soon they wont have jobs either, the new way of renewing your stamps will be to go online and use a pin number, or call and give them your pin number.
they will only call you in if theres a problem, its downsizing more government workers, so that the fat cats in washington can fly to hawaii and brazil for their tax payer paid vacations....but the tax payers only bitch about the 200 bucks a month in foodstamps you get.
maybe that woman who is being so rude should remember she might be sitting in line at the unemployment office and someone might tell her to stay behind the line.

Actually I do have a job, but my job doesn't quite pay enough apparently as your high paying job so yes I do have to have assistance. I don't care if I have to ask for help since I'm paying in my tax money. So in other words "Miss Sassy" F*ck You!! You don't know me and I know that even if "YOU" could or you actually do mooch off the government you would.

maybe miss sassy would like to recommend a few of their favorite restaurants, for us to work in, like in prepping thier food, lol
miss sassy, i can guarantee you this, you have relatives and friends getting foodstamps
1 out of every 7 americans get foodstamps
sit down and think of all the people you know.
i bet you know at least 70 people, well, ten of them are getting foodstamps.
and out of the 10 of them, at least 3 are employed, UNDER EMPLOYED.
and according to statistics, from 2008 to 2009 31 million dollars in foodstamps was spent in military commisaries.
also in 2009, 25 percent of all food stamp reciepients were military families, compared to only 13 percent of civilians.

guess those soldiers should get off their lazy ass and get a job huh.
i bet they are tired of starving and dying to defend you too.

why do you consider anyone who goes into the food stamp office someone who doesn't have a job? I know plenty of people who have jobs but need some help with paying their bills so they look to them for help. just cuz you go down there doesn't mean you don't have a job, popping out 12 kids. their there for help an you havent been in there to find that out. one day you will need help, maybe you will loose your job and need to find another one and guess what you would have to walk your lazy a** in there to find one. they have a board for that kind of thing but you wouldnt know that since you make all this money and have never been in there. so dont JUDGE people that actually need the help.

I went in there today to turn in a paper that they needed for my 2 children to receive a medical card. My husband works very hard but his company doesn't pay him as well as expected so we have to have a little help with paying these high hospital bills. I'm fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my children and plus if I did work daycare is expensive, and I don't like asking relatives to watch my children. I had one crying from a nap, and one who just got shots. You can imagine trying to go into a place with children taking a fit, and hurrying before they closed. Yes I could have sent it in through the mail but I was already around there so why not just hurry and get it to them and get out. Well I walk in there with maybe two people sitting down and a lady who obviously isn't paying attention to me with my children crying. I hurry up to the window and yes I see the HUGE stop sign to say please wait to be called but thinking it won't hurt anything since no one is in line and it's just a paper to reach her I proceed onto the window. I get up there and she doesn't even look at me and says "You need to get back to the sign so I can call you" I get a little aggravated and put the paper in the little hole and say "Thank You" an proceed to the door. While I was about to leave she says to me "Next time you need to stay at that sign before you walk up here" I tell her "Well Honey, I have a crying baby here" Obviously she knows this since she can hear and see this. She says "Well your paper could be threw away" I tell her "Whatever" and walk out only to be followed by a guy who also is very mad that he had been waiting there for 30 min and no one called him. I realize they have a hard job and yes I should have stayed at the "SIGN" but it's hard telling when she would have called me. I think that they feel everyone that comes through that door is on pills, has tons of kids, no job, suck the government for every dollar their worth and I'd hate to tell them that not everyone is like that. I would love to be out there working bringing home money to help my husband so he doesn't have to work so much and not have to go to that office to deal with all the drama. I applaud the moms that can do it all, work, school, spend time with their kids, clean house and still have time for themselves. I just want to be able to spend enough time at home with my babies since their only little once.

Yeah, she was a nasty b to me also about that sign. Hell I didn't even see that damn sign and you know all of us who draw food stamps are way to illiterate to be able to read or write, ha ha. Just love it when some nasty b is sitting at a front desk and thinks she has power and gets it zapped away and oops.

and you sound like a lover of pink sugarplum, you love me so much you follow me to every thread i post on, i must really have your attention.
yes, i have received food stamps in my time. a day might come when i need to again, ya just never do know.
i know that i worked for years in the county system and i know that when you go into alot of these county offices, the people you see, who act like they have authority over you, are really welfare/food stamp reciepents themselves, they are allowed to work to keep their checks, etc.
and hopefully, but sadly, not very often, they are actually given a real job there.
in all the years i worked in the county, i seen maybe 3 people on these programs actually get hired.
but once again, your attempt at humor deserves at least a c-

maybe go get a job? Like, a real job? Or go get training and find a career that pays, instead of living off the government or working at burger king.

My husband works for EQT which is "Like, a real job" and we still can't make it so he's paying in his money to the government. Why not try and get some of it back? I'm going to go there tomorrow and see if I can sign my family up on something. The government screws us over so why not screw them over?

Agree with you 100%. Either get some of it back or let the government waste it on something. I do make a good living, over $60,000 a year. But, there was a time in between jobs I needed food stamps. So I took the handout. Don't regret it a bit.

That woman that sits up front is angry, she's angry because her p-u-sss-s-y smells like dead carp in a drought. Every single time she fans her legs around in her swivel chair....you can smell the dead carp odor. It is flat out disgusting for a woman not to wash her snatch!
