Sad but some of these Doctors are just flat out stupid and need to be held accountable for abandoning their patients that are in pain. Trying to pawn them off on others. The authorities have to accept some of the blame for harassing some of them but it is still their job. Nothing lower then leaving a person in pain to suffer. Sadly you can't even go to the Emergency room for help. They will just send you back to your Primary. Disgraceful how people are treated now.

I don't have personal expeirence with Dr. Gutti, but a friend went to him and said he was injection happy and made her go every month, have your doc to refer you to Ky Pain Management, in Hazard he is a very good doc and he is a doc that specializes in back pain and he prescribes meds other than hydrocodone.

yes, go to pmc pain management at pikeville across from mcdonalds....if u can get referred there, dr. gutti is injection happy and if u refuse injections he wont give u pain meds
he is real hateful and speaks to his patients like dogs
i would not recommend him
he gave my mom darvocet, which has now been taken off the market and is causing heart probs, and she said it wasnt helping her, so he gave her lortab 5 and then said if she wanted to keep getting lortab she had to agree to injections, so she just stopped going to her
i have heard him personally speak to patients like a waste of his time

I switched from him to Hazard Clinic and I am glad I did. I have DDD also. I get injections every other month along with pain medications. It helps but nothing I have ever tried takes it away completely. Like Hazard said, they can make it easier to live with but they cant take it away.

Beware of Sai Gutti, he had to be Re-Certified lately, was published in News Express several times lately. He is "SHOT HAPPY". Not only are the injections dangerous, why else would you need to be monitered, they actually deteriorate your joints, and mask the pain for a short period. I refused them, and when I asked for my medical records, found he had been charging my insurance for the injections, and stated I was improving. I confronted him, of course he mumbled something about the transcriptionist making an error,my response to him was, "this is insurance fraud", left his office, and reported him.

Gutti gave me the neck injections and they where causing me to just about have a heart attact right there on his table. I tried to tell him but he didnt care. Why people still go there must be for what drugs they can get. But most need them. I just up and stopped going to doc gutti and found a new doc. But they all are trying to make you take the injection. I emailed the medical board about all the inj. and they said there wasnt anything I could do but take it. I go to pmc pain management and at first they where making me do the inj. all the time. But after a little while later the doc seen I wasnt just there for the meds he back off the inj. All in all not bad, get in and out fast. I also have to say they are real good to me

The injections will damage you in the long run. They are a temporary half arse fix that end up causing more problems and make the pain worse. These poor excuse for Doctors use them to avoid giving you medication that works. It is gonna take a few lawsuits to turn things around. A doctor should be ashamed of themselves for leaving a patient in pain. I fractured my back years ago and know the pain that accompanies it. Fortunately I am pain free now and don't take any meds. Feel sorry for those that have too. I spent many days laid up in so much pain I couldn't get out of bed. The entire time they gave me medication that wasn't strong enough to help. They are cowards when they let the system scare them from actually prescribing meds that work and rely on injections that don't.

It's not the system, it's the raging drug addiction problem that is causing the issues.

The cost of the injections is approximately $2000-$2500 each, they are supposed to be adminsitered in a sterile environment, with a moniter to show the Dr. exactly where to inject the drug, or cocktail of drugs..according to the patients needs. It's sad to see so many people with genuine pain, being taken advantage of by greedy Dr's, who don't even pay taxes in our country !

My mom went into Gutti's office one day in severe pain hoping to get treatment. She didn't know what else to do. The receptionist told her that Gutti was gone for the day. What happened next? Gutti walked right by the window. Never in my life have I wanted to punch someone in the face so badly as I did that receptionist. I wouldn't do that though. Then one time my mom waited and waited in the back room for the doctor to come in. Finally, she went to ask what was taking so long and they had forgotten about her and asked her to come back at another time. Mt mom refused saying she waited all that time and refused to leave until she was seen. So Gutti's office has lied to/forgotten about my mother. Other things have happened as well, but I don't have the kind of time it would take to go into it. She has since switched doctors.

State Law requires Dr.'s to give patients a copy of their medical records. without cost to you, then you can see what the Dr. is reporting to your insurance, and what you're be charged for . If it's not right , report it to the insurance Co., an
and switch Dr.s asap !

I went to Dr. Gutti. And the other posters are telling the truth of "SHOT HAPPY"... Dr. Gutti wants to give injections cause they cost 2 and 3 grand. But all at the same time Gutti will still give you the same amount of pain meds. I had one injection and let me tell you it made my pain so much worse that all I could do was lay in the bed for about 6 weeks. Dr. Gutti will also set you up to not see you when he doesn't get to give you injections. Gutti went into an all out war with my comp. because they refused to pay for injections after the one shot. Gutti caused me to have a hearing again. In the meantime comp wouldn't pay for meds. So it takes 3 months for hearing so I don't have the meds in my system then Gutti office calls and changes my appt when I get there, does a drug test on me and says he can't see me cause I don't have the meds in my system and accused me of faking my injury and selling the meds. Even though I had prove from the pharmacy the cost of meds and the comp refusal to pay. Which that proof helped me win my comp again. All it boils down to is if Gutti doesn't get the money he want out of you he will find a way to get rid of you even if it causes you problems. But when Gutti found out I won my hearing to pay for all even the injectionss he wants to see me again and I refuse to go back to the DRUG DEALER hiding behind a medical doors. Gutti tries to get ppl addicted to pills so he can give pain meds as a trade off for the big money injections. Sickening how Gutti thinks everyone is stupid and can't see through his crap. Injection shouldn't be given more than 3x a year and only then if they help. The injections will in the long run eat the bones up. I know ppl that had injections for years and they are now in a wheelchair. But most ppl that say injections help just to get the pain meds... I myself would love to see the pain clinics be outlawed and let patients be treated by their regular doctors that knows all health issues of the patient and would be much safer for patients with other issues like incurable diseases.

DO NOT go to Dr. Gutti - he almost killed me. Operated on my back and put a spinal cord stimulator in. I ended up with MRSA and had to be transferred to St. Joseph in Lexington to have the surgery done to remove it. After I was there 3 days Dr. Gutti called asking to speak with me. I told the nurse to tell him he was no longer my doctor. After 6 weeks of twice daily infusions of vancomycin I was able to function. My family Dr. put me on Fentanyl patches and it helped tremendously.

thats wild about those injections, i know he tried to get my mom to let him do them on her and she flat out refused
he was prescribing her darvocet, what a joke, he knew they werent helping her and when she asked for something stronger he said let me try the injections
i wish i had been at that appt with her, i would have cussed him out good
his wife isnt like that, i went to her and she never once mentioned giving me injections
