The Power Trio. In music this means a 3 member band with as much good
sound and songs as any 4 or 5 piece band out there. It requires some
real talent, coordination, skill, and the ability to multi-task, LOL!
A good Power Trio these days is rare but they still do exist, out there keeping the traditions of bands like Cream, Rush, The Police, and ZZ Top alive and jamming.

So here is what you do..name a Power Trio and link us a song from them to this thread. Yes, it is yet another Music Game Thread..Enjoy!

I know of a lot of Power Trios so it's hard to choose just one for now but I have to go with one of the baddest in recent years. It's a band that has my own personal Rock God fronting it singing and playing guitar as he does in so many bands of his. He's a pal of mine (you can see us interviewed together in Revolver Magazine's 2012 Women Of Metal/Rock issue)..Scott "WINO" Weinrich and The Obsessed. Crank it up!

I bet this Trio is one no one has ever heard of but I love these freaks: PUNGENT STENCH! They're an Austrian outfit whose dark humor and graphic, lyrical gore and vile images offended a lot of people all over the world. I was lucky enough to see them live once in Northern Virginia circa the mid-. Prepare yourself..

"Sick Bizarre Defaced Creation" - Pungent Stench

(The wild thing is these same 3 guys have a ZZ Top tribute band on the side, LOL! IDK it's name and have never heard
them but would love to)

recently highlighting some Canadian ones, be without

Here's a Triple Shot from one of the best damn Trios to come together in quite awhile: The Winery Dogs. A talented bunch like this deserves a triple play...

Ahh, the band formerly known as Moving Sidewalks in their earliest days (ZZ Top's band name prior to ZZ Top)..Good stuff!

Speaking of good stuff, there's a really retro sounding German trio named KADAVAR on the rise and I've been into them since I first read about them. In the 2 or 3 years since they have released 2 killers lps steeped in 70's vintage rock sonics, even recording on the oldschool analog recorders for that pristine retro vibe. Anyway, I was floored to learn they will be playing at Summit City in Whitesburg, KY.(my back yard basically) on Sept. 12th and I am stoked about seeing them..and in Letcher Co. of all places. Here's a triple shot of the incredible Kadavar:

They occasionally went to a 4 piece, but not really for musical reasons, and were ideal as a 3

One of the greatest, most influential Hard Rock bands
of all time and almost always at it's core is a trio
fronted by the enigmatic Lemmy Kilminster...

Yes, I'll admit it..I love the Bee Gees, MC. There was a period of time where them and ELO was about all I got into non-stop, LOL!

I have a somewhat obscure (in the USA) Australian Christian
Metal band that I have been into years. They're somewhat on
the heavier side of things but frontman/bassist Steve Rowe
is an amazingly strong Christian Warrior and has been such
for decades with this, his amazing band: MORTIFICATION.

Patrick, back in the 70's I was into ELO.

Now lately, seems as if I've been hearing a lot of them again.

Always loved the Bee Gees, that song I posted , I bought the 45 at Mr. Wiggs in Lexington. My sister made fun of me for buying it, she had purchased a Bobby Sherman 45 ("Easy Come, Easy Go")....now I ask you: which song will ppl remember, lol?
