My husband worked there for 20 years. The public would really die if they only knew how much walters really made on a deal. screwed is not the word. the "W" does not stand for Walters it stands for WARNING LABEL. if you really want a deal be sure to go out of town. Kirby thinks that everyone is a second rate citizen and don't know any better. WARNING FOR ANYONE STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT A GOOD SCREWING!!!!!!!!!!

first off, any car dealership is going to make money on you, they wouldnt be in business. if you go to lexington and think your getting a better deal, do it. i have bought 3 cars from walters chevy and everytime they have beaten a deal i had somewhere else. and they have never MADE me buy their car, you could always get up and leave. ive never seen them hold someones hand and make them sign papers. if you ask about any other dealer, people are gonna have bad things to say about them too. fact is: you dont have to buy at walters, its not the only place in the world that sales cars.

No, sorry, but they aggravate the hell out of you. All you hear from them the whole time is well, just give me 5 minutes of your time. They won't let you leave, they keep bringing up another question to hold you up. They hound you trying to get you to come inside to do a credit check. When you do try to pull away they'll stop you again by standing infront of your vehicle. My friend tried to tell me this before pulling into the lot and I found out real fast how they are. I've never met people like them in my life. I think they take car selling classes or something. I really don't see how they do any good with how pushie they are. It just made me want to look else where.

I just purchased a new car from them and I have to say that I got the car 2000 dollars less than 3 other dealerships that I stopped at. Out of those 3, one wanted to sell me a used car instead of a new one for the price of a new one. The other two wanted to sell the same car for retail price. I have to say that I am satisfied about the final sales price on my car. The one thing that I am dissatisfied with is that they will lie about small things to sell a car. I was told twice that the car had a rear rubber mat and cargo net. Before I signed the papers and made a substantially big down payment, it was agreed upon that the car had these two items. It did not have either when I came to pick up the car. I told them about it and they said that they did not agree on those items. The rubber mat costs 138.00 and the cargo net costs 55.00 retail. They pointed out that particular car did not have those options listed. They showed me another same model car on the lot that did have the cargo net option. I told them that they said the car had the options and asked for them to stand behind their word and at least give me the cargo net out of that car and order one back in its place, since they did not have an extra on the shelf. At that point, the manager turned red and laughed and pointed out an order form on ordering new cars and how they did not check that option for that particular car I was purchasing. They offered to sell me parts for 10% less than list price, which they said was their profit. So according to the manager, I would be buying these items at their cost. I have a friend that worked for a gm dealership and they make alot more than 10% on parts! I never ordered the parts from them. I bought them on ebay, new in GM boxes, for 15% to 20% less than list price. I will say that if they had not saved me a substantial amount of money and I had not already paid down a third of the car, I would have just walked out. A man's word is his word and in this day and time unless you get it in writing, with a lawyer present lol, it is not worth the effort to listen to it. Walters chevrolet have their good points and bad points. I overlooked these items, but it just irks me to think how they said one thing and did not back it up just to sell a car. Car salesmen are pretty dirty just like the funny depictions of them.

I haven't been impressed with anything Walters does. Decent places will warranty your vehicle without a fight every single time. If you trade or buy a vehicle from them you will get roasted or they won't deal. You have to get out of Pike County to find a decent deal. A dealership that moves quantity instead of trying to making a killing on every vehicle. I have never been able to buy a vehicle here. I tried numerous times but just gave up years ago.

After trying to buy from them for over 30 years I give up, I will not even stop and look at what they got anymore and don't care. Best place i ve found around here is Hutches in Paintsville. But still yet, I ve always found better prices in Knoxville. To each his own, its your money. Me, I am not giving them a dam cent, hope they go broke.

My wife stopped by after work and looked at a car. They would not let her leave. She is diabetic and needed to eat and take her insulin after she told them that they kept saying 5 more min.
Two hours later and after many tears one of the salesman got her keys away from management and let her go home.
This was all being done awaiting credit approval. Next day we bought a car in Williamson WVa.
Salesman was suspended for 3 days and he got a negative in his employment file.
Just be warned it could happen to you!
