Who rented the Expo for the "private party" for New Years Eve? Anyone know? Love how we didn't get a concert or anything this year! So, thanks.

Sorry O B 1, but the expo center doesnt care about pike county, they care who will pay the most, and that private party did just that.

You dont need the expo center to have a great new years eve, half the acts they bring for those are washed up anyway. I'd say get all your friends together, get some loud music going and just have an all night kegger

That would probably be Mitch Potter and his Company and the Wright Concrete Company. I know they both rented it together last year.

By the way there will be no more good concerts at the Expo. It seems their management cannot book any more good bands......not enough ticket sales!!

PMC IS actually the one that booked it for the NEW YEARS PARTY for the employees of the hospital.

It was announcd in a bulletin that was for the hopital employees only.. I saw it when I was at the hopital having some tests done..

I WOULD HATE TO HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL ON SAT. OR SUN. AND EVEN MON...

Everyone can count on their bills going up to make up the expense of the rental of the Expo for the party..

What else can you expect...when they book sh***y a** groups like Hank Williams Jr...Willie and Billy Bob and other country groups no one has ever heard of...Could not even sell out when H.Jr. was there at Hillbilly days. They sold out the times they had KId Rock, ZZ Top, Leonard Skynard and Three Doors Down....we were there and KNOW this for a fact! Need to bring back these groups along with ACDC, John Fogerty, BOB SEGER...for a start.
AND...when booking on a week night... people cannot come out...because they have to work.

Its gonna be a great big detention camp when martial law is declared. This country, economy, is toast! The holliday (money making) season is past us so expect the depression to deepen tremendously.

Actually this is not for the employees, somewhat. This is a black tie, evening gown event hosted by PMC. Now as an employee of PMC I will assure you that not all employees are invited to this. Also, to get into this party there is a nice door fee to keep not just anyone from getting in. I am also working this party so again I think I have a little more insight on this matter.

Yes, the expo was booked for a private New Year's Party. Bobby's Wife---please stop broadcasting that your sister is the box office manager.

As for those of you complaining because no "good" concerts are booked or the expo hasn't had any good shows--if you don't like the bands simply go to concerts that you like at other venues. Noone is forcing you to buy a ticket and go. As far as ticket sales go, did you all ever think that if sorry a$$es would actually pay a decent price to see a show that there may be more here? Come on people, stop blaming management and put the blame where it should be--on the public! If half of Pike County would get off the food stamps and checks and get a job to support themselves then they could afford to pay a high ticket price to see a 'good' band.

If you don't like the shows that come to the expo then simply don't go, bitching about it isn't going to change a dam* thing.
