Pike County Board Of Education

Anyone else see on WYMT news at 6 tonight about the Pike County School System being "OVER 2 MILLION OVER BUDGET"? Said The State May Take It Over. I have an answer to their problem, Don't TAKE FROM THE SCHOOLS WITH CUTS that will just take from THE CHILDREN. Just let me go to THE BIG HOUSE for a ONE HOUR WALK THROUGH and when I PUT THE WASTE ON THE ROAD, PROBLEM SOLVED. It Is THAT SIMPLE. More people sitting & shooting the bull or in the back room doing something other than working. Thats a fact! LOOK OUT BACK at the HIGH DOLLAR SUV's, & I can go & on. This is sickening! The dam state cant run the state let alone the Pike Co Board of Education, thats another story, no another PROBLEM.

Look at the money they are wasting hiring those 100 to 185 day retired people that sit and do not one ounce of work. They don't even need them but they know someone so that creates a job. If you suck the right d$&k you are entitled to a good job after you retire. If you work 5 years after retiring that entitles you to 2 retirements....oh yeah. I could go on and on and write a book but you already know what's going on.......just saying my opinion.

I am sick of the politics and corruption in the county school system. I would send my kid to Pikeville but with the limit the county puts on tuition students I probably can't. Does anyone know if I can get the city school district to expand to include me?

We all pay taxes. Well let me rephrase that.......the working people pay taxes. I think the Board spends the money unwise. Look how many retired people that have been put back on the payroll and they don't do anything but socialize. They get these jobs not that they are needed but because they know which tit to pull. Why hell I have been told that some people get 2 paydays instead of one like everyone else. I heard the other day they are handing out stipends like you giving out treats on Halloween. You have to know which tit to pull or which DI$K to suck to get one.look around and you will see. That's why the budget is in the RED. I hope the state does take the school systems over.......it couldn't be as bad as we have now.. When election comes we need to vote them out. Mr Wagner needs to be ousted. This is my opinion.

The 100 day wonder program is not in all School Systems and most surrounding school systems don't have 40% going out in administrative cost. They need to cut the 100 day wonder program, 30 years and out and cut all waste before they pass another property tax on us. Some school districts have to have refferendums on a ballot before they can raise your tax. This bunch just goes in anytime they get a wild hair and raises your taxes to float this Penthouse Old Boys Club Administration down there...We need new board members that are not yes men and will not vote to raise our taxes until they get spending and waste under control down there!

I suppose you want someone unqualified to substitute teach your child. The only reason they put retired workers back on the payroll is because there aren't enough subs to go around. Teachers get sick just like every one else.

This is not the issue. If retired teachers come back to substitute this is fine and I don't think anyone would have a problem with that. I believe the poster is talking about those people who have retired and they have been employed back the same month as they retired and no one seems to know what their duties are or where they are even working. If they were substitute teachers and are in a classroom that would be fine. I'm not sure what a substitutes salary is but probably around 65-70 dollars a day as compared to around 265.00 a day that they are paying some of those wonder program workers and for what. Are you aware of this????? I have all respect for sub. Teachers and believe theyearn what they are pd. No issue here.

I agree with what you said about some of the round house workers are getting pd 2 checks not 1. They are being pd through different programs. I was told that a few of the click are getting stipends each payday or at least once a month. Many are not board approved and are not taxable. The state dept. needs to do an investigation. Even this OLD SILVER FOX wasn't this slick. I didn't have to suck any D!€KS but I sure diddled the women while I worked. Maybe I need one of those 100 day wonder program jobs. Do you agree? I do have lunch with the round house gang Mr. Jaw Wagner, Joe Head, and Queen Subrina each month.lol

But, there is hope in Justin Maynard. Frankie is unopposed, hope that changes before the deadline. And, Oops, it appears the other one that is up for reelection has forgotten to file. Smart move by Earl, register twice and run twice on the ballot. That way you split the vote so your opponent don't get as many!

And the number of instructional supervisors have doubled or tripled. Get rid of these people before

Sub. Teachers are necessary and are pd. a little more than minimum wages. They are with the children doing their job and earn the $65 and deserve more. Yes the instructional supervisors have more than doubled or tripled. They have so many they are stationed at schools and not in Pikeville. When they need a job for one of the cronies they just make up a new title. I have even been told that they have someone hired full time and their only duty was to come up with new titles when needed. One man told me he knew one person that their retirement after taxes was nearly 7,000 a month. After this person works 5 years they will receive another full retirement. Some employees are receiving 2 paydays as they are pd. By 2 programs. The people receiving stipends do not pay taxes on that money. You would be surprised how many STIPEND are being pd. To employees. Then MR Wagner and the board members can't believe they are in the red. Some of the 100 day wanders are employed more than 100 days. If the state doesn't take over then the Pike Co School System is domed. We need to take a stand for our children. Just expressing my opinion about this.

Gee, sounds like you pulled the wrong tit. First of all Wagoner is not put in office by votes! He has a contract and he is going no where. They will actually call the state to come in. They don't want to be responsible for anyone losing their jobs. If they state comes in and has a big lay-off, the board can always say "not our fault" we did not do it. Do you think they actually care if the state takes over. It is only for a little while. They come in, make some suggestions and walk back out the door. Many teachers will be losing jobs. Now, if it makes you happy to see your child getting a poor quality education then "don't worry, be happy."
