does anyone else think this isnt a very good clinic?
has anyone other than me had a bad experience there?
do you get treated as if you are mud on the bottom of their shoe?
they hate that doctor ford has brought patients from elkhorn city there, i overheard a couple of employees there talking bad a bout some of the patients...
one of the nurses there is a smart ass
and the receptionist is an airhead...
we need better healthcare than this place...

try calling over there--they talk to you like dirt on the phone. if you have an appointment, the average wait time is 4 hours. why have an appointment.

yep i agree, i was talked to like a dog and the little bleach blonde at the window sits back there and sees patients standing at the window waiting to be checked in and makes them stand there and wait like they are dogs....
they suck over there, i feel sorry for anyone who cant find a better clinic
and that big fat one in the back she will order u 20 unnecessary tests just cuz i guess she gets paid or something

I have been there several times and has always been treated good and the dr did a good job of taking their time and finding out what was wrong and helping me... I think Shelby Valley clinic is one of the best in the area.

I've been there several times over the past 2 years and have never had a problem. If I had an appointment it wasn't a long wait and if I didn't I never waited more than 30 minutes. Everyone is always nice to me

I agree I have been there several times over the past year & they have all been wonderful! they have even went out of their way to make sure I have my blood pressure medicine. I think they r great! keep up the good work. if anyone has had a problem maybe they should check their own attitude first...just sayin!

well, im just saying, my aunt and uncle are older and they went over there and my aunt was waiting for my uncle to come out of the bathroom and was standing out in that hallway where u check out, and i guess those 2 women working in there didnt know they were still there...
cuz they were badmouthing the patients and one of them said that all the new patients that dr. ford had brought from elkhorn were only there for pain pills...
well i go to dr. ford, and i happen to know she doesnt prescribe big amounts of pain pills
my aunt was hurt by this, because she has been coming to dr. ford for along time now and she wondered why those women were being hateful...
when they saw my aunt and uncle come out in the open their faces turned red...
its not that u have a long wait, i go to dr. ford and i dont have a long wait...i just wonder why the office workers think it is their place to say stuff like that, they are just paid to push papers

Been going to Shelby Valley Clinic for years, never seen any lines even during swine flu craziness on a friday. My Dr being Mrs Garrett, who surprisingly is nice and easy to talk to.

Sadly though i make fun of people at the clinic all the time myself that get pissed when they dont get pain pills, news flash hick you dont need pain pills for the flu. Hell one day after leaving the pharmacy had a guy aproach me and offer to buy my meds. I feel sorry for doctors and such these days, for every one patient that actually does need pain meds, their are 10 trying to lie and fake it to get them to fuel their drug addiction, its sad.

well i ripped my meniscus out of my knee and was going to try to get an mri, i had spent 4 hours in the er and was told to follow up with my doctor and of course, she had to be out of town that day for some reason and so i saw one of the other docs, i think actually might have been a nurse pract, didnt know cuz she wasnt wearing a nametag or whatever...
she was friendly and tried to be helpful, but when she tried to get someone to call in my meds for me at the drug store, all hell broke lose, cuz here i am, cant walk having a big old stabilizer on my leg and crutches, in such pain everytime i moved, i had all my paperwork from the er to show that i was really injured, but, i was made to feel like i was just a pillhead, just looking for a buzz..i cant believe that docs who supposedly go to school to train to be doctors, cant prescribe pain meds to someone in my situation....without making them feel like some kind of junkie, i just left and didnt even go to the pharmacy, i just bought me some icy hot patches and an ice pack....i have been taking the motrin they gave me in the er and just dealing with the pain...maybe when i get my mri next week and they see that there is a real injury they will realize that not all of their patients are wired up on drugs....
also a patient there

Many people are searching for doctors to get pain meds from since they closed down that place at Williamson. People should realize that most doctors are smart enough to see through them. If you have a legitmate problem you should go through the proper doctors and seek treatment. Need a Doc: go to the doctor in the river bed accross from the hospital, can't think of his name but he is good with your type injury. I took my daughter to Lexington Sports Medicine only to come back here and a local doctor to find her knee problem. She didn't need surgery and has now recovered.

To all those seeking pills that don't need one go to Mountain Comp.

u are talking about dr. pugh and i have an appt with him next week, after i have my mri, of course my injury occured on friday june 4, and i am still hobbling on crutches and wearing a big band around my knee, and taking the motrin they gave me in the er, i am so very glad ppl see fit to lump every single person into one category...i guess we might as well all face it, if u take anything stronger than a tylenol in pike co, u will be called a pillhead and to the guy talking about offending a pillhead when he said ppl ask the doctor for pain pills, no, im not a pillhead, i know i have no way of proving this to u, i have suffered for 9 days of torture and have barely been able walk...hopefully they find out what is wrong with my leg and help me soon...this is the healthcare system in pike co...maybe in all the usa..and did these docs give these ppl pain pills for the flu??? i just bet ya they did, so who is to blame in that situation? if the ppl ask, they shall recieve

The wait times are often two or three hours long and there is a problem communicating with the staff.
