Build a new gym

Closed the doors in my face (yet again) today when they said the power would be off for 1-3 hours. A man showers, takes his pre-workout supplements, drives 20 minutes to train at a place he's already paid to workout in in advance, and they do this. They're making money without spending any; the water isn't running, the lights aren't on, they're not having to pay their hourly employees, yet they're collecting our monthly fees. Promoting healthy bodies in a Christian environment, what a joke! Why can't they set up an "all-call" system notifying their members that they aren't going to be able to receive a service they've already paid for? GREED and stupidity! Everyone I know says they’d join another gym if we had any options. If you’ve got the money, someone set up a real gym. Sell supplements, shakers, gloves, chalk, have tanning beds and saunas, etc. It’d take a while, but you’d be seeing a profit in no time because everyone from the Y would leave! I hate that place!! The administration is incompetent.

Been like that since it opened. Complain to the board members. That place was filthy in a month after it opened. The old man running it had his wife in charge of cleaning. She never came to work.

They sure don't care about their members (see my other post about YMCA). You would think they would want to keep members, but they could care less. I was a member for over 10 years and payed the family plan all those years. I have a niece and nephew who live with me and I wanted to have them join under my family plan. They have lived with me for nearly ten years but now are old enough to enjoy the YMCA . The Pikeville YMCA told me they could not join under my family plan because I do not turn them in on my taxes. Even though they live in my household, I feed them, clothe them, by them xboxes, bikes and every thing else, I cannot put them on my family plan. They said I would have to pay more to have the kids join. Now, the mother lives in another county and she can't afford the membership anyway.

I was paying nearly $500 a year, but now I have quit my membership. You would think that with all the financially problems they have, they could not afford to lose even one member.
