I agree that it is wrong for people to park in handicapped spots just to keep from walking a little distance. I also agree that people should put the shopping carts where they belong, but just as bad as those people are the ones who will stop and wait for someone to back out of a spot so they can get it, holding up all the other vehicles. Just pure laziness is what most of it is!
Handicap parking should be used for the extreme handicapped people who need assistance in getting in to stores etc. I often see abled bodied people who are driving a disabled person car or using their handicap sticker to get the advantage on parking. These people tend to have no signs of struggle. Also, many of these are given to overweight people who need to diet and the exercise would do them good. I thing all of these handicap requests should be reviewed for yearly review.

<quoted text>Do you know that if someone has a heart problem, diabetic etc that they can still get a paper filled out by their dr and take it to their clerks office and get a handicapped sticker. They are free so there are no excuse for anyone that needs one not to have one.If you don't have the sticker or a license plate don't park in a handicap parking place plain and simple.
well maybe those who have children or family members or are themselves wheelchair bound should petition congress and fight for legislation for seperate handicapped spots in a different section of the parking lot
where only vans and medically equiped vehicles can park
that way they can have thier own easier access into the store, ramps etc....theres always gonna be someone out there to judge that just because someone isnt in a wheelchair that they arent handicapped
and yes i am aware that you can get a paper signed, i happen to have one, but i still park farther away because i myself dont mind a few extra steps

<quoted text>Did you ever see how hard it is for handicapped people to get in or out of a vehicle? The need all the space they can get without some fancy boy and his shiny truck taking up there space. So I say it's a fair trade off for them to take a big old deep scratch or word cut into there fancy paint MORON!!!
Wrong!!! The only fair trade off of someone parking illegally is either call the law or a tow company yourself. The tow company would be happy to have the business of taking the vehicle off and will bring the law with them for a eye witness. If you vandalize a persons vehicle, there will be eye witness and possibly cameras recording the event, which will get you into alot of hot water and you will pay for the damages yourself.

<quoted text>first, i am not talking about those who are truly and visibly handicapped such as those in wheelchairs, etc, i am talking about those who you might not realize are, epileptics, diabetics heart patients etc
they may need to park closer to go in to pick up medicine etc
you cant look at someone and judge what is or isnt wrong with them
i do not justify criminal acts such as scratching someones car up over a parking spot
just go ahead and throw eggs at someones car or scratch it and you will most likely be seen and charged with a crime and all for what
because someone else broke the law
so its ok for you to do it but not them
It's not for you to decide who is handicapped, and who is not. Who deserves the tags for their cars, and who does not. It doesn't matter what your opinion is concerning who needs it and who doesn't. They can park there if they have the tag. If you don't have that clearance don't park there. Pretty simple for most of us. People who put themselves as more important than the handicapped, deserve whatever happens to their precious car. If you park in them, and aren't licensed to do so, I hope someone does their civic duty. Maybe then, you'll learn.

You, nor me, have the authority to have a car hauled away for this offense. Wal Mart refuses to. Don't believe it: pretend there is one next time you're there. Nothing will be done. They know the lazy cheese eaters are their lifes blood. Call the police: they may show up in time, probably not. Teach them a lesson yourself. Discreetly. Unless you are one of them.

maybe, one day, you will learn to actually read a post, before commenting on it, as i did not say i park in handicapped parking spots or that i justify anyone doing so who doesnt need to
i simply said, to perform a criminal act as retaliation toward someone who does, is just as bad as the person illegally parking
so now read it twice before commenting, thank you.

Don't confuse them with logic. They seem to think they have the right to do as they please. Pretty pathetic of them to think they have the right to damage or destroy another persons property for any reason. You can't change an ignorant persons mind when they have a false sense of entitlement.

It does seem rather illogical. Someone does something that is subject to a fine(parking in a handicap spot when you aren't entitled); so the response is to do something that is criminal (vandalizing someone else's property).

I wouldn't park in a handicap spot; but I wouldn't consider vandalism either to retaliate against someone who did.

You are a very ignorant person. I never said it was ok to park in a handicap spot. Like I said people like you feel the world owes you something and you feel like you are above everyone else. Try acting like a human and start showing other people some respect, and stop acting like a douchebag.

Not all Handicap people display there blue tag or have a car tag! When you get a tag. You get only 1! They will get you 2 if you ask! But once you get a handicap tag anything you drive move with the person! You don't have to display it! If you work & drive anything that right goes car to car or truck to truck! You might be trashing someone car that is handicap! They give you a handicap permit for you to carry so you can show dumb ass thinks you don't have the right to park there! Ask the person before you trash a car or truck! You could be in trouble instead of them!

Just throwing this out there for some of you vandalizing someone's property is a far worse offense than parking illegally. The parking will get you a 25 to 50 dollar fine while vandalism let alone getting into a brawl is a lot more stiffer penalty.Next thing before somebody goes off half cocked on me NO I DO NOT CONDONE PARKING IN A HANDICAPPED SPACE I wrote it big so you would see it.A good idea and most everyone has one with them now on their phones would be to take a picture of the offending vehicle and its plate number and simply turn them in.Simple as that.Good Luck.

Sorry Hank. They'll have not only the sign on the rear view mirror, most will have handicapped LICENSE PLATES, which is stationery. You cannot defend a non-handicapped vehicle parking in a handicapped spot. You people are the ignorant ones. I walk from where I have to, in all kinds of unpleasant weather, and you had better do the same in my presence. If you don't do it, fine. You're off topic when you are defending selfish pricks and their illegal, and obnoxious behavior. There is so much of this behavior in out society because we allow it. Good luck reporting it to the store, or the police (im most cases). These people can, and will pay the price whether the police/store enforce laws/regulations. I hope its women objecting, because I'm afraid the lack of men is also a part of this problem. Let punks/criminals do what they want, act how they want. Let me tell you one thing you are right about: the trash that would park in the spot will NEVER have anything done to them because they know someone in the courthouse. And a person trying to teach them a lesson, would have the damn book thrown at them. I'm sick of it, and don't play by those rules anymore. They can part with their money taking care of their car. Hell, its tax payer money anyway. Most of them damn sure didn't earn it, unless it was selling pills. Screw em. Screw em ALL.

Yeah Harley: take a picture. That'll show em. The authorities would not do the first damn thing about a picture. Try it out, and you'll learn a valuable lesson. To everyone: stay out of handicapped spaces, unless you are handicapped, and we won't have any problems at all. Its up to you, not me.
