It's the people in the county that have to deal with the mud, the trucks...etc. This is where the coal tax money SHOULD be spent. In the communities and on the people that have to deal with it on a daily basis.

Apex is dirty enough. They only hire the dirtiest dealers.

Well! If this is Dave Maynard, u aren't to smart to reply as a professional person of authority should u should keep your mouth shut and move on. APEX has destroyed the road from their haul road down to the Millard bridge. They have a nice haul road, about 9" thick blacktop and then run out on RT. 1789 and destroyed it. Have created a dangerous situation in that S curve at Sloan's Branch. If they can afford to lay down 9" blacktop for the haul road they can fix the road from Pompey to the Millard Bridge.

State road fund is suffering from budget cuts and they are not maintaining the secondary roads in Pike County, they should not have to restore this part of 1789 because APEX destroyed it and will just wallow it out again. They should blacktop it to the same standards they did their haul road and it will hold up that heavy truck traffic.

Hey Mark Campbell
Don't u know better, than hire someone like Dave Maynard? He has NO CLUE of what he is doing!!!!!
But, I guess u aren't paying attention around u, u have some pretty poor excuses in your circle. Let me inform u of some, Dave Maynard, a woman in your office, that is screwing Chuck Cornett. Not to mention you sending trucks into to hole like your strip jobs are, and pushing the trucks , and over weighing them because, they can't make any money ( just wait until one of them has an accident) you think you have all of ur bases covered with MSHA , NOT! It's so strange Teco, want let their trucks haul in over weight but they have no control of Apex. Where, r u DOT and MSHA to let this continue? I have family on these roads, I am going to take this to Frankfort if something isn't done. They push trucks, over weigh trucks, come on people open your mouth and put our school buses and families on safer road ways.

Aside from all the blasting ruining the houses on Lower Pompey and the runoff killing every stream and creek the dust covers everything. The trucks not only are overloaded but travel at breakneck speed at the edge of being under control. They ride their engine breaks all the way out of the holler even though most of the haul road does not have a very steep grade or is dead level. They have pretty much destroyed a community that was once a nice place to live. Strip Jobs are for out in the mountains in more remote places, not in the middle of a community. I can't wait until this reckless overbearing coal company goes under!

If Mr. Maynard was working for a Jim Justice company, he probably was smart enough to see that although Justice is listed on Forbes as a Billionaire, you do hear news & facts that Justice has suits & complaints brought against him for failing to pay vendors & contractors. Lately he's been piling up fines & catching a bad name for his impact on the environment. You never know what all is truly going on with the super rich & Justice has invested a great deal of his money into different investments, he's in the news to much lately for all negative headlines, simple as that. Mr. Maynard chooses to go to Apex which has a far better coal reserve portfolio, Jim Booth, Ted McGinnis , & Campell are the owners & they've proven solid in the gloomiest of coal markets. I'm sure Maynard was aware that Apex was making plans to expand their already strip mining giant & acquire certain McCoy Elkhorn assetts. Booth & his partners would not have brought anyone in as an executive over a major producer in a tough market & tough regulatory times. It's clear that their years of wisdom of being coal magnates they see Mr. Maynard as a very beneficial new member of the company to begin work with them given Apex's credibility & a gloomy time in the east ky coalfields.

I agree about one thing, they screw the people around their job sites.
They destroy the roads and the land and they laugh in your face if you dare try to get any help from them.
That is, unless you know someone.
The bunch located at Belcher offices are the worst, liars!!!
They lie to their own kids and mom to get out of doing what is right.
This is the low downest dirtiest bunch of liars you will ever come into contact with.
