if your hired to do a job then do it right!! I work, I shop at walmart too, I don't expect when I go into the store that the cart pusher will scrape the side of my car with a buggy just because someone else was too lazy to put it where it goes. Just because you push carts for a pay check doesn't give you the right to put down everyone else that also works for a living. You act like everyone should be bowing down to you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down the job, anyone who works should do their best at what they are hired to do but it seems your the one asking to be put down on here. I'm sure not all cart pushers push carts into peoples cars either but I did one do that and he could have cared less. I wish now I had waited around for that other car owner to come out.

I was waiting in the car a while back and two buggies were up in front of our car and when the cartpusher retrieved them he let them slide down the side of the car next to mine. This was very uncalled for. That poor owner didn't even know what happened.
The wind blew someones buggy (maybe someone pushed it there) into the side of our truck one time and dented the door. That wouldn't happen if people would just put there buggies into the cart rack. It kills me that they are to lazy to do that, they will just push their buggy up against someones car and drive off.
I agree with your post. How long does it take to put the cart in one of the designated holding areas. It only takes a mintute to do this and saves the employee time from having to go all over the parking area to get them. It's a small thing called being cureteous to others.

i have some symppathy for them. I had that job for a while at Wal-Mart. It's a neverending sea of buggys and people throw dirty diapers and nasty stuff in them too. But when I pushed them they wouldn't buy the little electric cart pusher or whatever you call it. We pushed every one of them by hand! That job sucks.

...that Walmart had cart pushers. I mean, what is this crap about working through rain, snow, sleet or shine? They're not a freakin' postal worker. And if they're so hard working, why is is that every single time I go to Walmart, I either have to move a buggy out of a parking spot or move it from around my car and then take it to the corral myself? Is that why there are always so many buggies spread throughout the parking lot? Because Walmart's hardworking buggy brigade is working their asses off picking up after lazy customers?
There are a couple of guys that do get out there and do their job, but the majority of them hang out by the doors, smoking or twiddling their thumbs?
two cart pushers, cant do it all hehe. let me do the math.(and i suck at math btw)...2 cart pushers, throw in poor scheduling, oh and they dont have cart pushers there at nite either, they have to also have 2 days off per week, heaven forbid they get 1 second overtime. 1 hour per lunch per work day, 1,000 shopping carts, high volume walmart, folks driving crazy through parking lot, weather conditions, 2 broke out of service cart mules,(motorized equipment)...equals random moments of you not having a shopping cart...have a nice day :)

I have a great appreciation for what the do. I always put my cart in the coral and it makes me furious when people don't do it. Next time you are there please return the cart and make their job just a bit easier.

All bow to the cart pushers. I guess the proper thing to do would be to go ahead and return our carts to the inside of the store. would not be any complaining that way. Sounds to me like a bunch of high school boys who don't want to do their job. They would prefer the cust do it for them. If you guys would stay out in the parking lot and keep the buggies pushed in there wouldn't be any problem to start with. It's when you are finished with the cart, you casn push it to corral or just leave it with all the others spread out all over the place. Truth is you guys want to stand around at the doors looking at little girls than do your job.

First and foremost "big momma", maybe if we were not big or lazy there would be less of a problem, secondly, some are bitter because we are not those little girls that are being looked at. I always take my cart to a return and if its closer to the store then I do take it back in. I return even in the rain or whatever. There should be no reason to be dis-respectful enough to abandon the cart. I do respect the cart pushers for having a job. So tell us "big momma" do you have a job and if so, would you want to think you were being a lazy employee and then start slamming you on topix?

my family came to me with this idea so iam going to throw it out there so i know they will be mixed opinions and mixed feelings and opinions are like assholes, everyone has one so here goes....if a customer wants a buggie when entering the store they can give the door greeter a quarter or a dollar and then when they return the buggie they get there quarter or dollar back, and for that money that is gathered up from people not bringing buggies back to the door greeter can be donated to shriners or some other needy organization to help kids, etc.etc. (just a idea)

They should get paid WAY WAY WAY more than they probably do. I feel so badly for them because I know they work so so hard. Man, imagine pushing those buggies in the red hot July sun with your face pulsing because you're so hot. They have to do that. Awful. They should be getting paid a fortune. They are doing slave work.

brock, the quarter thing is a GREAT idea. they actually do that at a store called Aldi's. It is a chain food store which is kind of like Sav-a-lot. There isn't a buggy anywhere in Aldi's parking lot, nobody wants to lose their quarter!
