I'm looking for information regarding any actively haunted locations in or around Pikeville KY. Besides the Ocatavia Hatcher grave, Dils, and all that. I'm also looking for a house on Swinge Camp Branch, I believe it is! This is supposed to be a very haunted location. I've seen posts about it on other forums but from what I gather it is out in the woods in that area. Near Hatfield Fire Dept.??
Can someone help me out with the directions and story of this house?

I know this may be somewhat off - topic but I will tell it here still: At the head of the hollow where I
live ( Jenkins, Letcher Co.)there used to be what looked like an old town, just like the ones you see
in western type films and such. It had several buildings that lined a long overgrown dirt road and I
always imagined it would have had some historical relevance to this area. It looked very eerie, creepy.
Anyway, when the new road part of US 23 came through
it was all torn down and redeveloped though.

Gina if you would ever like to travel to West Virginia I have the perfect place for you to investigate. My grandparents house. There is plenty of unexplained activity there. Everyone in the family has had some sort of paranormal experience there. Super scary! We would love for someone to investigate the activity. We don't want anyone to try and rid the house of the spirits but would love to have someone come and explain what the paranoraml activity is going on in the house. The activity at this house is more than just having something move out of place. You can actually see the spirit! The spirit likes to scare you and play games with you! If you would ever be interested please let me know.

Haha.. I just read some of these posts. Sorry about the inlaws Excorcist. Unfortunately it's out of my scope of support :) Been almost a year since I posted this and in that year I've been a lot of places, all across the country. And I'm here to tell you, the town of Pikeville is either just not very haunted or people are very close mouthed. All my local cases come from Floyd and Johnson County and Spooky where at in West Virginia?

Gina, if you decide to go into WV, the old Memorial Hospital is said, by many, to be haunted. Williamson, WV

I use to live around there on that street and there is also an older building on the other side that is interesting looking, that would be a great place also.
I don't even think that no one living even knows what it was but it is there just like it was boarded uo yesterday.
The way there is to go towards the High School and turn first right around the mountain and you will see the buildings very soon after the turn,( crest of the hill ).
I wouldn't mind going along on that one.

The thing about the memorial building is the lower floors there, I heard the history of it was interesting.
