Didn't help Kentucky being a red state and Obama and Mcconnel hating each other for living. After Mitch said his only job was to make sure Obama did not get a second term he sure could not ask Obama to help with the coal industry.
Just our bad luck, liberal democrat wanting to get rid of coal and a senator that picks fights with him every day.
Don't think the Obummer will help East Ky when they shut down all the mines.

Obummer wasn't going to be helping us out. He is out to destroy our way of life and putting more people on the draw.

They keep benefits for three months? They had best get any and all the medical care that they think they might need during that time. Cobra and/or Obamacare are not going to be affordable.

The truth is, there are a lot of little things working against coal, and some bigger things. It's not all Obama's fault, it's not all the EPA, MSHA, whatever its all these things, as well as demand being down for coal. The biggest thing that killed coal is that times are changing, technology is improving and the world is just different. There is a strong push throughout the U.S. and the world in general to move away from coal and other fossil fuels, but coal espeically. Eastern Kentucky stands alone when it stands up for coal, the rest of the nation, Repbulican and Democrat, are pushing to move on. It's over folks.
