I heard it was a Barry Johnson from Indian Creek that burned up in the truck. I heard he tryed to dodge a car that pulled out in front of him and him and the other truck hit head on.This what I was told.

Statements like this is the reason "I THINK TORIX NEEDS TO BE DONE AWAY WITH". Nothing But Garbage and Mean Hearted People. It Is Time This Should STOP. It Started As A Good Thing, But Now Nothing But Garbage and People That Have No Backbone or Morals.

I guess you all didnt know he was empty. Not overloaded one bit. Anymore, the mines or gravel lots wont let you leave if you are overweight, they are responsible also. Maybe you all need to get your facts straight or better yet, not even post at all about this. All that should be on here is condolences to his family. Barry used to be a friend of mine, not saying that we had a falling out or anything. I just not seen him in years. I do know he was a good man with a family, and my heart breaks for them. I wish people would think about what they say on here about situations like this and I wonder how they would feel if it was their husband, wife, kids, or parents. How would you feel reading this about your loved ones?
You are so right. These trucks aren't overweight. It's just something that is in people's heads that don't even have a clue what a trucker goes through. When they go to the scales house if there is too much on they have to go back up the hill and dump some and go get weighed again. With all the dot inspections and audits and paperwork that you have to have up to date at all times its a rough job to have. If all those who think they know actually knew then maybe truckers wouldn't get the blame for everything that happens. What if Barry hadn't swerved to miss the car? They pulled out in front of him and cost him his life and they are going on with theirs unharmed. If truckers are soooo bad then why do they try to dodge all the idiots out there who don't have a clue. RIP Barry.

But its like everything else the uninformed and misinformed know it all. I was always told that it was better to keep my mouth closed about things I knew nothing about and look like an idiot about the subject than open my mouth and remove all doubt. I guess these people were never told that.

I know but still this was the worst day I've ever been out that I can think of. Maybe it was the full moon and check day together that had all the loonies out.

You cruel, heartless bastard! How can anyone get on here and put such heartless comments? My husband has drove a truck for years just to provide for his family. also for lazy ass people like you who can sit back and draw a check! Think about it, the next time you see a truck driver, you may want to thank them for suporting your sorry ass, and buying you that computer you are talking smack on!!!! My heart goes out to the family or families of those that have lost their lives.
Amen!!! They are some heartless people in this world!!! It was more than likely some dope head that has never worked a day in their life and receives an ssi check that caused this mans accident anyway. Karma is a bitch tho and I hope how soon that the karma train rolls around to wishy washy and all the rest of the inconsiderate, heartless scumbags that have said such cruel things about this terrible, unfortunate accident.... My prayers and sympathy goes out to the family of the victim. So very sorry for ur loss.

If you really want to know the reason for the drop in the demand for coal, READ and educate yourself.

This is complete and utter bull crap!!! It is a crying shame that as you are sitting here typing your heartless comments and gossiping a family is grieving for the loss of their husband/dad!!! The only reason a "thread" should have been started about this in the first place, was to post condolences to his family and friends. Just so you nosey ass people know....he wasn't loaded, a car was SITTING in the 4 lane trying to turn,(when SHE should have at least been in the median) Barry tried to swerve to the other lane to miss her, and got hit by the other truck involved. His truck exploded on impact and landed on it's driver's side. Several of his co-workers tried to put out the fire with the extinguishers in their trucks, but it was just too much and they weren't able to get him out. To you cruel "people" always keep in mind that you "reap what you sow". Praying for Barry's family, friends, and co-workers.

This is the 2nd gravel truck in 2 wks to get flipped because of a 4 wheeler's in attention. The first one luckily only totaled his truck and no lives were lost. This time a driver has paid the price for someone's inattention to his surroundings. I was out today and almost saw 4 separate accidents. It was like all the idiots were turned loose today. I couldn't wait to get parked and off the road.

Wondering

I was wondering if they know who the driver of the car was and can't they be held liable for any of this disaster? There are at least 2 businesses right where this happened. I wonder if any cameras would have picked this up? Also if they pulled out in front of him (which I heard they completrely stopped in the fast lane to turn off instead of getting on the median) then they probably just left one of these places and the workers may know who they are. I don't know. I just think if it was their fault they should be held accountable for thelife that was lost. To the family: I'm so sorry for your loss.

This was the most horrific accident I have ever seen. The person who caused this should be held responsible. At the time I passed it I didn't know it was Barry. My heart breaks for his son and wife. He was a very good man.

For people who post on here about how terrible coal truck drivers are, Barry was a wonderful person. He would never hurt a fly. Obviously, he gave his life to save the people in the car.
