Sorry but you don't control if the cheerleading coach will be there or not? The county control this?

<quoted text>First of all, I don't know what school you attend, or how many ballgames you attend. Cheerleaders have always cheered "away" games. What world do you live in? And, as far as transportation that is really none of your business. However, because you feel that is it is your business I will give you some general information. Sometimes their parents take them (it is called car-pooling, or they ride a bus, they may even ride the ball bus. This is general for most schools. You really need to get out more often.
Its like this I'm not going to go back to high school and argue with you. You do not have to try and put me down just because you don't agree with me. Its my opinion not asking you to agree. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. My children have played sports at Pikeville for many years and I can't recall cheerleaders coming or going to away games. I thought they quit that many years ago due to the budget because it required a second bus. Unless its a tournament. I have to say that I agree with another poster on the fact that Pikevilles pep squad shouldn't have said something about any other student. I also agree the cheerleader coach made it even worse by doing what she did not many people even knew who they were talking about most people couldn't even hear them. But once she caused a scene that made everyone wonder. If she did poke her finger in an underage persons chest she is lucky she didn't end up in jail. The cops were there she should have let them handle it not try and do their job for them. That's what their there for to keep trouble down. I do agree if it was our kid we don't know how we would feel or what we would have done but there was a better way to handle the problem. I went to a county school and don't think my child is better than anyone!!! Sports should be fun and not taken as serious as many do.

I agree there are those above the normal mean at every school. Well That is the thoughts of the ones that feel that they are better than others. But for years past and for years to come PHS will be above each school when it comes to students, and Sad to say Parents thinking that the panthers are better than the rest.
I attended PHS and graduated from there. I saw first hand how horrific the up to do rich girls and guys treated all the middle class and especially the lower class. No student should have to attend a school where there is a click or rich/nose stuck in the air kids thinking they are better that anyone else.
I guess they are only doing and acting as their parents have taught them.
I would never want any friend or family of mine attending that so called up in the air rich comes first attitude of a school.

The old saying sure goes there at PHS. It is not what you know it is WHO YOU KNOW and WHO YOU are at that school.

We agree. Most of the time, if it is a local game, parents drive the cheerleaders. Or, they ride the bus with the players. Seldom do they have a bus of their own. They do not go to all away games. But, they do go to local away games now.It really was not a big deal and I have heard a lot worse at games. You sound pretty smart. Have a good one.

What kind of school employee would walk across the gymnasium floor and start arguing with students from another school? Remember this is an adult arguing with students. At one point she was poking her finger in the face and chest of a Pikeville student. The principal from Pikeville got in between her and the student until the police got to her. There was even another female with her trying to get her to go back to her side of the floor. Wonder what the superintendent from Pike County and the principal from SV thought about this? I heard they were both in attendance.
Sounds like an excellent teacher to me. Somone has to control the little pompous actinng punks.

If I remember correctly, one of your students ran into the stands on an adult last year at a game. I think the popo had to sit him down. what did your principal and superintendent think.

Go to the greater metro area of Pikeville and see how they act every game. They think their comments are cute and when the shoe is on the other foot they scream Foul.

This is evidenced at every game they play.

And they wonder why people make fun of them call them names. You know the P.I.S.S.....LOL

They seem to think they are to good for the county.
That is the biggest and most stuck up bunch of people that I or anyone else has ever encountered.
They learn the stuck up high society life from the parents. It comes to them naturally.
That is a sick excuse to raise your kids to think and feel that they are better than anyone else.

The panthers have and always will think they are in a better class and a league of their own.
When it comes down to it, they are not better than anyone else from the county. They all lace their shoes up the same when it comes game time. Only difference is the PHS crew has has it instilled int hem that they are better than the county.
I would rather have a god old down to earth country player any day as to have one isn't talking about basket ball either, that bunch of panthers simply think they are just much better as a person in society than everyone else.
A rude awakening come alive when reality hits them in real life, unless daddy doctor, or daddy lawyer hands them the silver spoon so they can stay spoiled brats as they are now.
Sad to think that they youth at that school thinks they are better than the rest
Shame on the parents and everyone else that has led the youth to believe those negative thoughts as a high school kid.
It is a sad day when a school has been geared to believe that they are better than the kids in the county.
SHAME ON THOSE WHO HAVE TAUGHT THE KIDS TO FEEL AND THINK THAT WAY. JUST A SHAME_
Any other county folks see and feel this high society atmosphere that PHS displays?
look at the Test Scores.

<quoted text>Allow me to inform you. Based on the what I know, not one single word was said to a cheerleader. No cheerleader's name was ever mentioned. The schools pep squads had been chanting back-and-forth the same usual rude, nasty chants they always use. One of Valley's player got a foul, technical or something, and the Pikeville pep group was suppose to have said. greasy, greasy,(will not insert name) girl's easy. Now, 99.9 percent of the people in that gym had no idea if the little boy even had a girlfriend, who his girlfriend was, nor do they care. You could not even actually understand what was being said. Racial slurs were thrown from the Valley people. This is just normal game pep stuff and has gone on for years. I am sure she is probably wishing she had not behaved in such a manner. It appears three adults, all employed by the school system pretty much set a very poor example for children.
Valley used their usual racial slurs but whine when they do not like something.

First of all, she is not a teacher. You was not there, you know none of the people involved or you would know she is not a teacher which proves to me that you know nothing about the Pikeville people either. The fact is she will probably lose her coaching position over this. What would happen to a child if he/she put his hands on a teacher and threatened him/her. They would be expelled, or sent to alternative school. Principals from either school did not act much better. I guess it is a good thing the parents of those valley kids screaming racial slurs at their child did not do the same thing. Instead, the sat in the stands and acted like they had some sense. Many times have I wanted to say things to adults, or other children but refrained because I did not want to embarrass myself, nor my children. Sorry, she was in the wrong. She could actually have charges filed against her for such an act. I like her but she was wrong.

Although she is not a teacher she is a certified employee for the school.......RIGHT. second PIKEVILLE does not control if she loses her coaching position over this. This is a county matter. Pikeville doesn't make decisions for the county. I don't know how I would have reacted if it had been my daughter, I can only guess. First if the woman and everyone else was hearing these insulting and degrading remarks toward her daughter then so was everyone else. The principal or someone in charge should have put a stop to the pep section behaving in this matter. I only saw the woman pointing her finger at the boy that started it. What would you have done if you kept hearing these filthy remarks and no one in charge would stop it. I'm not saying what she did was right but when the principal, board members or police didn't care enough to stop it then what would any of us done. Im sure I would have reacted in the same way. The girl had to stop cheering she was so
upset. How do you think the player on the floor felt. I will have to say this boy was a transfer to your school that was the leader in this. Is Pikeville going to punish him?????? No, I would say not. I hear your pep section got in trouble last year several times and didn't they scream and taunt Tony and Ray last year. It was ok for your pep section to do that. Mike Rowe just stood over there and allowed this to take place. I'm hearing you suggest punish the woman and you never mentioned punish the students involved in this. They were the cause of what took place. The woman was defending her daughter in the best way she knew how since no one would. She reacted as a mother and not as an employee.

You are using a slur against the parents and kids from our area when you call us HICKS. Practice what you preach. I would never use a racial slur toward anyone. You are. Shame on you. Do you have to do this because you say someone else did? Be a bigger person than this. Have a good day.
