Subject: SNOPES - Credibility
Snopes
For the past few years www.snopes.com has positioned itself, or others have labeled it as the 'tell-all, final word' on any comment, claim and e-mail.
Snopes is run by a husband and wife team - that's right, no big office of investigators and researchers, no team of lawyers – it’s just a mom-and-pop operation that began as a hobby and surreptitiously became a spreader of Leftist Propaganda..
Left Wing Progressives, David and Barbara Mikkelson, started the web site about 13 years ago in California’s San Fernando Valley - and have no formal background or experience in investigative research. After a few years it gained popularity as Americans, believing it to be unbiased and neutral, accepted it as cetain truth. But over the past couple of years people started wondering who was behind it and what was their motivation? The reason for the questions - or skepticisms - is a result of snopes.com claiming to have the bottom line facts to certain questions or issues when in fact, they have been proven wrong so often. There were criticisms that the Mikkelsons were not really investigating and getting to the 'true' bottom of various issues but, instead, use it to promulgate their Leftist Agenda.
...
Then, a few months ago, when my State Farm agent Bud Gregg in Mandeville hoisted a political sign referencing Barack Obama’s birth certificate it made a big splash across the Internet. Supposedly the Mikkelsons claim to have researched this issue before posting their findings on snopes.com . In their statement they claimed the corporate office of State Farm pressured Gregg into taking down the sign, when in fact nothing of the sort ever took place.
I personally contacted David Mikkelson (and he replied back to me). Thinking he would want to get to the bottom of this, I gave him Bud Gregg's contact phone numbers. Bud was going to give him phone numbers to the big exec's at State Farm in Illinois who were willing to speak with him about it. Mikkelson lied, neither he nor his wife ever called Bud.
In fact, I learned from Bud Gregg that no one from snopes.com ever contacted anyone with State Farm. Yet snopes.com issued a statement as the 'final factual word' on the issue, as if they did all their homework and got to the bottom of things. Not! They are typical of the Left, passing off bogus opinions as "fact".
The truth is that they are ---liars--- hoping we do not research their lies, etc…

SAN DIEGO (CN)- A lurid but vague class action accuses corrupt and abusive IRS agents of stealing 10 million people's medical records without a warrant - including "intimate medical records of every state judge in California."
John Doe Company sued 15 John Doe IRS agents in Superior Court.
"This is an action involving the corruption and abuse of power by several Internal Revenue Service ('IRS') agents (collectively referred to as 'defendants' herein) during a raid of John Doe Company, in the Southern District of California, on March 11, 2011," the complaint states. "In a case involving solely a tax matter involving a former employee of the company, these agents stole more than 60,000,000 medical records of more than 10,000,000 Americans, including at least 1,000,000 Californians.

...

"While executing the warrant, the defendants seized personal mobile phones, including all the data and information on those phones, without any employing the proper and procedurally correct screening methods to protect private and privileged information, all of which was completely unapproved by the search warrant."
The IRS' data theft was so enormous it affects "roughly one out of every twenty-five adult American citizens," the complaint states.

Proof Obama’s A Muslim

Dr. Jerome Corsi, investigative reporter for WND.com and author of the blockbuster Where’s the Birth Certificate?, was instrumental in proving that Obama’s long-form birth certificate was a fraud.
And he’s done it again.
Corsi has been researching the oddity of Obama’s “wedding ring” that he’s been wearing since the 1980s, long before he married Michelle Obama.
Corsi initially theorized that the ring indicated a marriage vow to a gay partner, possibly a link to a suspected gay relationship with Mohammad Hasan Chandoo – a wealthy Pakistani student at Occidental College.
But Dr. Corsi has recently made a shocking discovery regarding the ring. Corsi noted a strange script on the ring from recently released photos of Obama during his Occidental days, suspecting that they might be a type of Islamic writing.
Dr. Corsi consulted Islamic scholar and best-selling author Mark Gabriel to examine the markings on the ring and discovered something shocking. The first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it—that is, the Islamic phrase “There is no God except Allah,” a common refrain of practicing Muslims.
Mark Gabriel’s conclusion that the phrase “There is no God except Allah” on Obama’s ring has been now been confirmed by a Duke University professor and Obama researcher and Arabic scholar Joel Gilbert who has done an extensive analysis of the subject.
Considering that Barack Hussein Obama has been wearing the ring for 30+ years, there can be no doubt that he is a Muslim and this explains his longstanding coddling of Muslims, including the Muslim Brotherhood, and his recent statement at the UN castigating “those who slander the prophet of Islam.“
Kudos to Dr. Corsi for breaking the story.

Now why would a Christan wear such a ring?
wtf

Rightist Indignation
GOP Insider Vic Gold Launches a Broadside at the State of the Party
http://tinyurl.com/yodcq8 / April 2, 2007
Under Bush and Cheney, he argues, the GOP has moved away from principles of small government, prudent foreign policy and leaving people alone to live their private lives -- all views Gold associates with his hero, Goldwater. "Invasion of the Party Snatchers" makes plain Gold's contempt for the direction of his party and the guidance of its leaders.

"For all the Rove-built facade of his being a 'strong' chief executive, George W. Bush has been, by comparison to even hapless Jimmy Carter, the weakest, most out of touch president in modern times," Gold writes. "Think Dan Quayle in cowboy boots."

The war was a big factor. It seemed to Gold to run counter to the traditionally conservative notion of keeping clear of foreign entanglements. He was infuriated by Bush-Cheney moves to augment executive power. And he was disgusted by the Terri Schiavo episode, which to this old libertarian seemed emblematic of a modern GOP takeover by religious zealots.

"I really came to the conclusion that there was a threat to our system, to our way of life, and it was coming from those I thought were my people."

Gold says he felt compelled to write his book because what he considers the depredations of the Bush administration -- the war, violations of civil liberties, expansion in government, the politicization of the Justice Department, to name just a few -- have violated his sense of what the Republican Party should stand for.

"Kennedy said sometimes political loyalty, party loyalty asks too much," he says.

Colin Powell in four-letter neo-con 'crazies' row
12 September 2004 / http://tinyurl.com/83u3by
A furious row has broken out over claims in a new book by BBC broadcaster James Naughtie that US Secretary of State Colin Powell described neo-conservatives in the Bush administration as 'fucking crazies' during the build-up to war in Iraq.
Powell's extraordinary outburst is alleged to have taken place during a telephone conversation with Foreign Secretary Jack Straw. The two became close friends during the intense negotiations in the summer of 2002 to build an international coalition for intervention via the United Nations. The 'crazies' are said to be Vice-President Dick Cheney, Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and his deputy, Paul Wolfowitz.
