I heard this morning there is less than 10 players out for basketball. I know that only a few played summer ball and that included grades 9-12. Is this true? If so, what is wrong? I know we have some talent at the school. Has anyone heard?

I know that the players can't help what the coach and school does but Bart has recruited from almost every school in the county and every school not in the county. He even tried to recruit from our school. Even wanted to give the mother a job to get A.N. That didn't work either. I'm sure as I have heard the boys just wish he would quit. Didn't he bring in boys and let them move right into Pikeville players positions. That didn't work they went on home. Good for them. Now I hear some of them are talking about the kids for leaving but you should be talking about Bart for recruiting. Bart will be lucky to win 5 games with the players he has left. Better get on your knees and start begging Bart. I also heard this is your last year coaching at PHS.

My son is still playing ball @ Pikeville and I really don't appreciate you talking about the players we do have left in the manner you just did. Why take what heart they have left away from them by putting them down? This is to SVHS poster. You run that trap on your face if they have players and run it if we dont t. I have an idea why don't you worry about your own school and leave ours alone. You talk about Bart not saying I agree with him but you say nothing about the players leaving their school to give Pikeville a try. Isn't that being disloyal to their other team mates? Whether they stayed or not they thought about it to even give it a try. Loyalty would be to turn the offer down at the beginning. Truth is there is recruiting everywhere only difference is some get caught why others don't. Why say hurtful things to hurt the players who love the game enough to stay loyal to their school like you did? They can't help what the coach does.

I agree the players can't help what the coach does? Myself I think it is ashamed that Bart would be out recruiting players to take your child's position. At least you parents should take a stand for your child. I bet you didn't stand up for your child or any of the other children while Bart was recruiting players to take your sons and other players position. Let's see he tried to get Brandon Richardson from Lawrence Co. The boy did visit the school according to Brian Johnson. Had Hunter Ratliff taking your child's place during summer ball, Teddy decided to go home. What about our boy Andrew as he said he didn't care who they gave a job to he was not going to Pikeville. Also the coach at East Ridge near the end of the season had to make a call to your school about Steve Silvers trying to recruit Kosongo. Now that would have been the top 6 players. Where would that have left your son if all of that happened either at the end of the bench or cut from the team. I just think it is ashamed you parents don't stand up for your children and allow Bart to do this to kids. Im sure you didn't like it but never said anything to the coach about it while yours sit the bench. You talk about heart to me that would have taken the heart out of any player. Good luck.

Are the same players going to play on all 3 teams freshman, jv and varsity or have you recruited some players we haven't heard of? Not enough Pikeville players out to make three teams. Couldn't even get enough out to play on 1 team during summer. Just saying

I bet they will hi-tail it out of Pikeville faster than they hi-tailed iit in to Pikeville.. Transfers don't stay to long at my school. No one is going to take my sons starting position. Got that.

We can beat the pansies in any sport.......heard you didn't have enough players that all you had were the freshman that coachie ran them all off and the ones he recruited cut a trail out of Pansieville. Some one said you had 1 senior, 2 jrs and 1 soph. The other players were that team Dorton beat.......remember those Dorton players are freshman this year..........that the rest of the story. Should just drop that sport before you get embarrassed.

No I'm talking about that Pansie team with total 8 players on the team. The other 15 players are in the classroom at Pansieville and glad they are not playing for coachie. At least Teddy wanted to play for a team that's going to have a winning season that's why in the hell he left. He was best freshman on the team and ranked next to Ethan Row. He said the other good players wouldn't play. He wanted to win. We love our Smith boys. Once a creeker always a creeker. Lmao
