right, and anyone can quit. If they really want to. Just like you can quit eating to much and drinking to much. Again ppl are trying to make excuses up for them to let them know that it's ok. So again, why would they want to stop when everyone is giving them pity and what they want..

Not exactly the same. Drugs change the brain. That is why it is called a sickness, and stopping drinking can be very very hard for some. So it is not just so easy to stop. A person's body becomes physically dependent on drugs and alcohol when they are misused.

I personally know a girl who was on some hardcore sh*t for years.. Then she got tired of her life going nowhere so she decided to stop. She did not need rehab or other drugs to get off what she was on. Just a few weeks home with her mom and she's fine. Went to school now has a great life. She chose to quit and did just like that. So umm still not seeing the so called SICKNESS!! Just another excuse to let them know it's ok!!!

Was that girl you? Glad you made it. You defied all odds. The success rate in the manner you described is dismal. Personally I am happy that there are options in treatment so that more have a chance at sucessfully beating this sickness.

I have never known of anyone eating, drinking alcohol, or smoking to steal, lie, throw their children down, kill people even their own family, and or turn on their friends. that's the difference in the sickness. Druggies will stab each other in the back, they don't care about anyone, not even their own self.

Alcoholics are very much like drug addicted people. There isn't much they won't do to get their alcohol. If cigarettes were illegal, I wonder what people would do to get them?

But that's great keep making those excuses up for them honey.. I'm sure they really appreciate your pity. And the help that is offered to them another form of pity...

It is not pity or excuses "honey". It is understanding the nature of the disease.

just listen to yourself.. going back n forth between your idealism of "right". its a shame you bother wasting your time arguing. your not going to change someone point of view for the simple fact everyone is more closed minded than they're willing to admit. i happen to know just about everyone that was involved in the round up.. some being close friends even. and yes, its obvious they made a mistake.. but for you to blast someone on a public website makes you no better than them. i guess what im trying to saying is that we all sin differently. instead of belittling someone and spreading hate.. why not pray these people overcome addiction and better themselves? after all, we all bleed the same color.

WOW!! It amazes me, here is someone else letting them know it's ok.. So little minded.. Again no matter what anyone states, I still have no pity. As for me being better than them.. LMAO.. I'm not out stealing and throwing my kids down for a fix.. Umm you know that kinda makes me better. And as for praying for them.. Such a waste, like I said in the beginning if they wanted to change and quit.. They can, they just choose not to because of ppl like you protecting them.. Now that's PATHETIC!!! Have a great day everyone :)))

How about you let us worry about our own problems and face them the way we have to. This makes no sense at all that people want to put there two senses in on stuff they know nothing about, its a shame that you perfect people on here that say we are sick and hope we goto jail for life. We point of the matter yes we are going to jail and yes we messed up let us deal with it and mind your own business. Its people like you that dogg on us that makes life hard for certain people. Everyone in this crap messed up and we will pay for it but we are still good people and deserve a little respect even if we did do wrong so mind your business please.

Wow, God loves you despite all your faults. No one seems to have said that addiction was/is okay. That is something you have seemingly assumed in your apparent need to try to elevate yourself.

What I have read here is people saying that some often make very bad choices and they have to suffer the consequences, not you. Also some posters have indicated that treatment is often valuable to help people get beyond addiction.

You might want to read what the National Institute of Health has to say about addiction being a disease of the brain. It can be enlightening to educate yourself so you know what you are talking about.

aww how sweet. I read about this and educated myself. There has been many, many ppl say they got help and yet turned around and done the same thing. Like I said my cousin was once in bad shape and turned her life around without rehab or anything. I'm just tired of seeing the druggies use everything you all are saying as an excuse for why they do what they do. When the truth is they do it because they want to and get pity from ppl like u.. I've witness it to much.. And yet it is so sad ppl defend ppl that throw their kids down and treat them like sh*t. Sickness, disease.. lol good jokes, I'll be laughing for days. You may think I'm harsh but I'm just speaking like it should be spoke instead of sugar coating for the druggies so we don't hurt their feelings.

Hard for certain ppl. lol.. You only make it hard for yourself. And what going to jail for a few months will change everything.. Whatever.. I've set back and have observed and I'm just tired of it. A simple mistake is ok. But constantly doing things for drugs is beyond a mistake.. I mean seriously grow up.. You act like ppl should just set back and put up with all of you all constantly stealing off other ppl and causing accidents.. No this is not ok and not acceptable. T just amazes me how you all want respect from ppl when you don't even respect them!!!
