I think the BOE needs to keep a closer eye on their staff's Facebook and things they are saying. They are worse bullies than kids and they are supposed to be role models.
It's sad and sickening to see the things they post knowing the kids see it too!!
This is a big problem that should be taken seriously.
so true!

Well if they do that they will have to check everybody that works anywhere . And you parents that are home all day you can put anything on and it is fine. So get a life and stay out of mine and everyone else.

Stay at home parent aren't responsible for molding a class room of young children's minds, yes I do think that even in their private lives a teacher should be held to some degree of responsibility to how they conduct their self, and as far as bullying goes there is never a good reason for it, bullying goes far beyond the moment these children carry it with them threw out their life's, some are so traumatized by it they never get over it, many of young teens and adult have PTSD due to bullying.
So maybe you need to stop staying at home trolling topix and get a life

Well I work and my husband and I are also concerned by what we see on social networks.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves. How can u set a good example for kids if you act like one?
Think about it.

Names will named to the superintendent, don't worry there is a list a mile long from several parents from several schools. So don't take it so personal. Sounds like guilt to me.

Parents have much more influence in "molding a child's mind" than any teachers do! What a parent says and does teaches a child what is acceptable inside and outside the home. Morals, manners and attitudes are taught at home.Putting that responsibility on schools and teachers is wrong.
Teachers should conduct themselves in an appropriate way in and out of school, but parents should be aware of their own behavior. Kids absorb alot more than most parents give them credit for. As for Facebook, students shouldnt be on their teachers' pages, imo. Teachers do have private lives and need a break from their work, just like everyone else. That responsibility falls on the teacher not to "friend" a student.
