Please explain. Way I see it, Wall Street does well we all do well. Wall Street investment is, after all, what drives our economy.

The US has been in a downward spiral into socialism 1861-2013. there are two scourges of mankind on earth, socialism and islam and America has an Islamic socialist wrapped up in one being, Hussein baraq o bamah, elected by the idiots called voters.

I disagree with your timeframe. The best time in our history, when the free market operated without governmental interference and regulation, was from 1865 to 1910.

You are mixing two different, separate ingredients. Socialism has been creeping into the American governmental fabric, incrementally, here a little, there a little. It didn't come overnight or even over year or decade. Abe Lincoln was in contact with Karl Marx while Marx lived in London. The beginnings of socialism began in the 1700s but the Marxist form of socialism has its roots in Das Kapital written in the 1840s by Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels. Lincoln started federalism on a large scale in the 1860s by forcing the CSA back into the United States federal republic. During the war years Lincoln federalized industry to the bidding of the US government. He planted the seeds of federalist socialism during his administration and the federalists built upon it during each administration after that. It's called the Gramsci method of the socialization of a country rather than the Stalin or Hitler method. From the 1880s-1930s the leftist Union movement with a lot of communist ideals and methods permeated t he American workscene. There is a lot of ground to cover in such a short space and time. It's our own opinion when the best time of our history, the best time period for the US was 1783-1861. That is when the US started in its downhill slalom. There was a lot of government interference in business from 1865 to 1910, including Grant's Administration and the Teapot Dome scandal. More later.

LMAO! God knows he's perfect for that for sure.

People can say whatever they want about Wall St. or Capitalism whatever but there is nothing wrong with business ventures and such for that is WHERE the Economy and Jobs originate. People cannot make a living otherwise and provide for themselves and their families and that is just the simple facts of Life in general. The actual problem is with Corrupt Greed and Special Interests that violate worker's rights and just plain decency. When corruption and obnoxious Greed go unchecked and are allowed to fester and further infect then the results are what we all know is the situation now: We have Washington, D.C. and the entire inner-beltway governed and dictated by money and only money. The Federal Gov't. is just a business anymore and it is a FAILING one at that due to a lack of accountability and fiscal responsibility, period and
no one really has a right to complain because Washington's fat cats only do what We, The
People PERMIT them to.

I don't know where you learned this history, but it is totally bogus. There is only one known letter written by Karl Marx to President Lincoln. This is the link to the text of it:

http://www.marxists.org/history/international...

The reply was written by Charles Francis Adams, in London, before he sent the letter to Lincoln. There is no evidence that Lincoln replied or even read the letter.

Karl Marx did not publish Das Kapital in the 1840s. It was published in three volumes, in German, in 1867, 1885, and 1894.

The vast majority of historians agree that Lincoln, far from promoting socialism, actually immunized the United States against it when he backed the Homestead Act. At a stroke of his pen, Lincoln created a huge class of independent, profit-seeking small landowning farmers. This class, which comprised more than 50 percent of all Americans until at least World War I, counterbalanced the new class of industrial wage workers, the class that Marx thought would and should rise in a socialist workers' revolt.

All that I can see in your idealization of pre-1861 America is a preferance for slavery to free labor.

Historian, please do yourself the favour of reading every word a person writes before addressing said person's remarks. Where in my post 36 is the word publish or published? The words were, Das Kapital written in the 1840s by Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels. Written, Published, Published, Written, identical in your world, right?

Historian, all you can see in my idealization of pre1861 is a preference for slavery to free labour. Historian, you need to polish your balls, crystal balls, they are cloudy. You make the assumption I have a preference to slavery. I'll be the gentleman I am and not call you a liar as I did CC. My people including myself and ancestors hate slavery and servitude of any shape, form or fashion as I am a proud descendant of Scottish Highlanders who believe in REAL freedom, not the servitude of any government whether of the DC flavor, London, Moscow, Beijing, Ha Noi or any other freeloading, totalitarian, trashy federal government. We are the people who stood in the Highlands of Alba whom the lowlanders call Scotland and let the wind blow through our hairy scalps, owing allegiance only to our clan and no one else. It is the Husseins in DC and Georges in London who have tried to subjugate and enslave us, so when you say or write I have a preference to slavery, you are writing a lie and bordering on being labeled truthfully a liar. Do you want to continue on this road as I am one to be truthful and unlike the DC trash will not call an apple an orange? I am NOT a slaver and anyone who says I am is a liar, tall and plain.

I am having a conversation to a person called HIstorian and some camel ass keeps beeping in. This is to let the world know or whoever reads this I aint interested in filth, nor wasting my time conversing with nothingness, so it can talk to itself as long as it wants. With the help of the good Lord Yahweh, post 43 is my last response to this nothingness.

Getting back to my one sided discourse at this time with Historian, notice my words, he planted the seeds of federalist socialism, he being Lincoln. When doing this he, Lincoln, didn't even know it. Here's an example. Years ago my Dad lived in Florida. One day out on the verandah while eating watermelon he spit some of the seeds onto the ground. being the Florida climate is so luxurious, unbeknownst to him at the time he unwittingly planted some watermelon seeds and lo and behold a while later he picked some watermelon off those vines. This is the respect Lincoln unknowingly and unwittingly started the downhill spiral into federalist socialism which morass of we are in the midst today. I know this will not agree with you because you are against the messenger so much you completely mistake the message fitting the message into your preconceived notions of the messenger but that's alright. You are doing what the majority of people do but at least your are a vehicle by which I can get the truth out there for those who want to know the truth to digest in the attribute of the cow with her many stomachs getting the goodness out of her cud. Thanks, Historian, for this opportunity.

I would say that is the same negligent manner in which your Dad unwittingly planted the vile seed that resulted in you.
