so what exactly is wrong with pikeville and the commision? from what i can tell they've been doing a hell of a job. pike county conspiracy theorists, hilarious haha. if you all have anything other than word of mouth about corruption or scandalous activities then you should probably do something other than chit chat about how someone else should do something about it on topix.

The deadline to file is over. We have our current commissioners and one other candidate, Calvin Sidle, who have filed to run. Calvin ran last election and received very few votes. My votes will go to the four current commissioners who are doing a hell of a job. Our City has never looked so good and new businesses are interested in being a part of our community. Pikeville is prosperous and as long as this is the trend I support the four Commissioners, Mayor Justice and Donavon.

Get over your bad self. I think 90% of the posts on this topic were one person and I believe that's just someones way to run a cowardly campaign.

Any normal 8th grader could spend the millions of dollars in severance tax Pikeville receives. All it takes is money, and little frankie has been given carte blanche. HIS subservient commissioners have NEVER refused him anything according to history buffs who follow the backroom dealings of our local politicians.

To give credit to the present "Boss Hoss" and his subservient city manager and commissioners is an insult to ANY intelligent adult.

Can you tell me what other "city" would stand back and allow a little twerp of a mayor to violently physically assault our local newspaper editor in a bar in the middle of town and just a few hundred feet from OUR police station?

Every dime I have seen spent (wasted) appears to be an effort to get the attention of dolts like the 'ONE' posting favorably. That seems to me to be nothing more than using our own money to dazzle us with fancy footwork in order to suck another vote from us ignorant lemmings.

You might want to study about government and coal severance funding before trying to act like you have a valid point. Better yet, call the Judges office and ask Wayne T. how much the city receives versus the actual amount allotted for PIKE COUNTY. Our community, notice I'm NOT just talking about Pikeville, likes the growth Pikeville is doing. Answer me this, have you ever ate at Texas Roadhouse, Applebee's, or Steak N Shake in Pikeville? I'm gonna say you have. So, if you honestly feel that money was wasted bringing them here, why you eating there? I live in the County, Elkhorn Crk, to be exact, and I wish I could vote for whoever that commission even is! Thank you Pikeville Commission, you ARE doing a Fantastic job!

So out of that entire post the really only bad thing you mentioned was Frankie getting into a confrontation with a writer for the news express who in turn made it front page material and made more of it than what it actually was. That's fine with me, that writer is a dick anyhow. The commisoners are going to stay where they are, pikevilles going to keep growing, and Calvin Sidle will be fixing my hamburger while he talks to himself in the back of Main Street Bar and Grill.

I'm pretty sure I said nothing about who all is running, just that the commisioners will stay where they are, and that you, I mean Calvin will be serving me my hamburger. Can you not read? The only points you and your multiple posts under different names is that they are spending money which is bringing in a lot of business for the town. Do you see any other smaller town in Kentucky with this much construction happening and about to happen? And that that donovan and the commisioners agree with Frankie often, which looks like its working pretty well. Our Mayor got into a fight with a news-express employee because he was pestering him while he was out trying to enjoy himself. Not many people I know could give a shit about that.

I don't know what you all call progressive. The city did not get the roadhouse, applebees or any other company here. Donovan has spent tax dollars for trips to promote the city for years and nothing has changed. These businesses came on their on after a traffic count was done. The commisioners have been around so long they want to keep things the same.coal severance has nothing to do with the city. The expo still has not produced a profit. The new hotel will only be ful during the week. The city won't let people bring in some events and they (donovan, jesse) feel they can control all.

So they had absolutley nothing to do with texas roadhouse coming, or the tj maxx, kohls, hobby lobby and other establishments that are coming town, you must be either high or severly brain damaged. The city has only owned the expo for a few months and it wouldn't even be open if it wasn't for the city bailing it out in the past. I guess you'll say they have nothing to do with the Jenny Wiley Theatre moving to downtown Pikeville and getting their own state of the art 300 seat theatre, the new public library they're building beside burger king, the great job they've done cleaning up the pikeville pond, the new federal courthouse, muscle on main, the upgrades at bob amos??

so far the only things you have mentioned is the pond, bob amos and jenny wiley. Other than that the roadhouse did there own research. Kohls and the others aren't here yet. You need to check your sources. I have spoken to the roadhouse people, and others that donovan is trying to get credit for.
