Does anyone know if CAP pays for child care while a parent is in school? Can it be a family member, or do they have to have license?

Did they have to have any training or a license to keep them? We looked on a website and one part said they had to have training. Not sure if that was something different. Do you know how much they pay?

Not sure how much they pay now..10 years ago they paid 15.00 a day I think..No they dont have to have training..That is for daycares or caring for several children when they are trying to receive a check for food too..Just call the food stamp office and they will give you the number to call..Its changed alot over the years. I still get it but mine is in daycare and I just have to pay a copay

Parent has to work a certain amount of hours a week, even if you're in school full time. My aunt works in the office. Good luck! Going to school is a great decision

You are very entitled to your opinion, but no one asked for it. I'm glad you made every decision in your life the "the right way". Could of, should of is in the past child is here now.

No need for anyone to ask for an opinion, this is an open forum anyone can post anything they see fit to post.
Now if some of the single mothers would take that same attitude with my tax dollars, i would be a happy camper. DON'T ASK FOR TAX PAYERS HELP, TRY TO REMEMBER WHO THE DADDY IS AND SEEK HELP THERE.

How do you know a father is not involved. Being a single mom has nothing to do with needing help with childcare. Childcare is very expensive. I have a bachelor's in biology and my husband is a detective. I don't qualify for childcare assistance so i pay $1000 a month for childcare plus student loans and everyday bills. So for a low income family I know it's almost impossible to afford childcare without help. But I guess people would rather be selfish and upset because they pay taxes. Believe me if there was not any government assistance you would still be paying taxes

It is okay to have an opinion, but why be hurtful especially when you don't know the situation.
You must be a working parent to qualify for CAPS, they only pay a portion of the weekly fee.

It is an open forum, there was a questioned asked, which means she is looking for an answer not your opinion on how you feel about how people spend your hard earned tax dollars. How would you rather your tax dollars be spent?

Bet you a dollar to a doughnut, no father is involved. How do i know, look around the area and tell me what you see.

Good for you and your husband, you are footing the bill for your offspring. Is that not part of being a parent?

Call me selfish, if it makes you feel better, but to me she is the one that's selfish, she engaged in an adult activity for her pleasure, without the protection of a condom, or other form of birth control, she chose to keep the child knowing she could not support it, now she wants to attend school while someone else watches her child, and someone else pays for it.

Now i do agree with your statement that i would still be paying taxes even if no assistance was handed out by the government

Get real, did you not just express your opinion using three different names?

How would i rather my tax dollars be spent, First i would like to see all vets taken care of, you know the ones living under bridges, awaiting medical treatment.
once thats completed, some infrastructure would be nice, you know roads, water, sewage, maybe then we could lure some decent jobs to the region

next i would like to see new prisons built, nothing fancy just the basics. and inside that prison i would like to see the repeat offenders and their attorneys. If the inmate count is 10,000 give enough food for 5,000, that ought to deter any third time losers.

I am a tax payer to and I'm tired of all these lazy a$$ people laying at home doing nothing but having babies and always looking for a free way out with my tax money.. If you have to live off the state you should not be a parent and instead of going back to school get a job... Yea the dad probably is with you still but a live in is all you will be because he dont want to pay for lazy ass to sit at home either so he stays with you and you lie to the State to get all the free stuff... HOPE THEY CATCH YOU SOON

I'd much rather see tax paying money go to those who try to make it in this world than to those who use it for crack.

I wrote this many months ago. Just so you all know I was married and he did have a job. I was just wanting to better myself and go to school. I did take on line classes and paid for it. I didn't use any help from any of you. Now I probably have a better life than some of you that had all the bad stuff to say.

Well.....don't you just know everything. You don't know the situation so why don't you keep your opinion to yourself. I don't revall anyone asking for it.
