"HENRY BATTLE" has crossed a line. My only reason for that statement is for litigation. I don't mean something docile either. I am justified in whatever I do to that SOB!

well I have checked the thread for a new post and none have been posted. I guess the hate spewing fools have at last got the best of us it is a shame that one cannot have a decent discusstion on the evil or not of the regulatory agency in question. and just reminess about old time where you where a coal mine op. or miner or state or fed. inspector, as we get older we forget some names of person that we liked or disliked and some we were indifferant to. we still like to hear from them or something about them. I for one am sorry to see it go. to the one that didn't spew hate you'll have a blessed day to the hate spewer may you all so learn respect for others and tolearcne I know it aint spelled correct so don't post on my spelling. I will continue to check thaead for a while.

If you want to secure a job... get an education. Without that, it doesn't matter what field you are in.... Less time complaining and more time schooling. Most of the reason we are where we are is ou choices in life. The industry itself doesn't care about you or your families. They care about money... Don't defend them.

Just to let you know - I have really enjoyed reading your posts about the old days. My Dad was a coal miner, then a state inspector, then back to coal mining. He loved everything about mining. He worked in the mines (underground) for decades. He made really good money back in the booming 70's & I remember his boss & owners of the company being extremely generous with all the workers. I was always so proud of him.

I am also proud of your Dad. Maybe one or more of us, who were enjoying this thread (before Henry Battle and 'wtf' destroyed it), actually know your Dad. It's a shame we cannot have a sensible mature discussion about our mining and mountain heritage without being harrassed by 'wtf' and "Henry Battle". May be coincidence, but:----both of them are black.

I love all the good memories and all the good men I worked alongside.(Both black and white.) I never saw a coal miner who was more or less than another. A "band of brothers" fits those mighty men I had the pleasure of being accepted by. My life has been saved more than once by professionals such as your Dad.

I'm publicly advertising that I am 'out to get' Henry Battle for what he has viciously and so damn cowardly done to my friends and family, so he will most likely come back with his against "Whitey" racism. It will not increase my hatred and violent anger.

I had no intention of giving that cowardly SOB another shot, but I just had to respond to your post.

God bless your Father and all others who show their bravery and ability to do the extremely unnatural and actually go deep into the Earth to make a living for their families.

I'm sorry my friend that we are subjected to such as we have seen on this one thread, with idiotic one liners and obnoxious idiocy from the likes of 'wtf' and 'Henry Battle". The past few days have been devoted to 'personally making things right'. I think we can assume that when such as 'wtf' and Henry battle are no longer an issue, there will be equally weak minded individuals who feel some need to hide and threaten those they actually respect and fear.

You and I have traveled underground before (I think we made some difficult seals once that I tried to talk you out of) and I would like to sit down and discuss those days without cowardly nasties like wtf and henry battle biting at our ankles.

I just ignore those posts - they have nothing to add to the conversation. Thank you for your kind words - you probably knew Dad but unfortunately a person can't post personal info on here. I'm sure your family is proud of you too.

Why can't you stupid people leave this man alone and go back to your BS topics that you cannot even win.your just mad because epitapher makes good points and you name changing people can't. If they started a mental hospital for topics idiots the list of names would be long the only thing would be out of a hundred names out of a hundred it would only be a ten room hospital because you retarded people change your names so much and hide your location or better still you don't even live in Pike county. Must live out of state or in another town.
There are only a few of them, but "buddy" has posted twice under different names.

I don't think Topix originators could have possibly foreseen such idiocy and redundancy of ignorance.'wtf' repeats, repeats, repeats, and on and on and on.

Epitapher it could have been at McCoy Elkhorn, or the old Claude Canadie mine, or Tall Timber Mine, or what is now Excell Mining also may have been over in Martin Co. Also could have been at Solid Energy Or even Clean Energy can't think of any at Freedom mine. The ones at the Tacker mine where the small pop burned a miner were hard to get to also. Will continue to check thread maybe the fools on here will get tired and leave. I got several names that come to mind however I don't have you completely figured out as to who you are. now the one that posted as Bleeder line may have been first name Buddy last name B he use to work at several mines on lower John's Creek

Hambone I can't say that your post is entirely true. Most of the inspector in Easten Ky are decitated men. However MSHA is different now than it was 5 or 6 years ago. New top management don't see things like the regulor old grunt inspector does. A lot of your statement is true in that MSHA is a very political animal at the present time. For the most part the average inspector is working under much duress and stress. Just look at what has happened over the past few years. So like I have said keep your notes on them and make sure if you find one that you have douths about just observe and if anything shakey is going on it will show.

Part of the problem wrote:
I agree that MSHA along with the EPA has hurt mining. The problem with MSHA is they are very inconsistent in there views of what is a violation. There is no doubt a war on coal and MSHA is another tool the government uses against us. Mining already gets oversight from the state, so I think each state should be responsible for it's own mining safety, and let MSHA go away.
I agree 100%
