I agree that MSHA along with the EPA has hurt mining. The problem with MSHA is they are very inconsistent in there views of what is a violation. There is no doubt a war on coal and MSHA is another tool the government uses against us. Mining already gets oversight from the state, so I think each state should be responsible for it's own mining safety, and let MSHA go away.

MSHA seems to be on a big bath house kick right now. Mines can not afford bath houses in this market downturn. They don't understand the economics behind mining, and you can't explain it to them. Most of MSHA's employees couldn't make it in the mining industry, so they become inspectors and suddenly have all the answers. From here on whenever I see an MSHA inspector, I am going to say to him "MSHA is killing our industry." I suggest everyone start doing this.

Find out for us what the average pay of company CEOs and executives are and the cost of the bosses driving a pickup truck any where they want on the company dollar and then get back to us who do understand the cost of a mine site.

Woefully unqualified MSHA inspectors have destroyed a way of life in Appalachia.

A desperate MSHA inspector just might be as ignorant as you say, to actually believe mine supervisors are driving trucks that are destroying their own way of living. That's as stupid as saying you are qualified to inspect.

Would you like a complete rundown on the miserable failures of that inept bunch of parasites?

MSHA 'inspectors' and their cowardly stupidity, in my opinion, have caused more mining fatlities than any other single factor.

I can post some mighty damaging information about that bunch, and I will, if there becomes a reason on this thread.

I think I will go work for msha so I can help shut down every mine in the U.S. I have never in my life seen anyone who cries and complains more than a miner. On top of that they will believe anything you tell them, none to them can think for theirselves.

Quoted for truth.

Only thing worse are their wives.

Shows what you know. Foreman for alpha drive 40,000 dollar pickups home every day. They can use that pickup for personal use. Drag their boat to the lake haul gravel or anything they want. The company pays the gas and insurance. So I will ask again give me the numbers I ask for or shut up. I as well as many of the inspectors worked 20 or more years in the mines and we know what it takes to be safe. What you want is to mine coal like china see how that works out for you. What I said about the pickups has to do with you saying that the mine could not afford a bath house.

As stupid as MSHA inspectors are....You don't even come close to them, even considering their tax wasting pitiful uselessness.

You quickly identified yourself as a disgruntled, and possibly fired, POS wanabe coal miner.

Underground coal miners are the most capable men I have ever been fortunate enough to work beside. That includes the U.S. Military.

MSHA inspectors are made fun of as soon as they get on their cushy ride to get the hell out of the way of REAL men.
